Like in the title says that's what you're going to get if you buy it! But, besides that, you're going to improve it a lot if you practise after watching it, speacially for the street/self defense way. Burton teaches really well and you're going to enjoy very much the videos. You will laugh meanwhile you're learning probably too  Only good words for him and his work, it's always a pleasure 👍👍
This instructional has very thought-provoking material that will force you to think beyond the sportive aspects of BJJ. I highly recommend this series for anyone who is looking for more self-defense application.
Huge fan of Burton's instructionals. The material is no BS and exactly why I started jiujitsu training for real Self-defense! Everything is his series is worth learning from and we should be using that as a base for all other training. In other words learn Self-defense first and then the fun stuff .. you don't want to be the one who trains and still can't handle himself in a street altercation.
How Burton incorporated other martial arts into bjj is excellent.
This is fantastic! Burton Richardson’s “For the street series” is great! In this series, He reviews instructions for practical clinch work for street based self-defense. Richardson is super informative and really love teaching. He breaks everything down in ways that are really easy to understand regardless of what kind of learner you are. One of the things that I like best about his style, is that he pressure tests everything he teaches. So there is a live sparring component to his material, so you can test the techniques for yourself to see what best works you!
Very informative and well put together series. I especially like the that Burton reinforces the need to stress test the material and builds into doing so. First class installational series I definitely recommend this.
Anything from Burton Richardson is top instruction
Burton Richardson teaches from many ranges and diciplines to bring a concepts and philosophy of self defense and awareness that can be added to sport grappling knowledge. This is the basis of what I really still train for, martial arts for the real world. Enjoyable format, I have enjoyed his teaching style.
Excellent material. Burton has had the opportunity to train with great grapplers like Randy Couture, and Marcelo Garcia, and has the unique perspective of a vast Inosanto background including Filipino, jeet kun do, Silat, boxing and muay thai. He has also coached multiple international grade combat athletes. This clinch series integrates all of the above utilizing techniques that have proven to work in the cage with an application for the street. I have several of his projects and this is a very good set. I've trained for over 30years in various to include clinch styles that include many years of muay thai, 22yrs bjj, 10yrs judo. Even with those, I still found useful additions and detail to integrate. He always pressure tests his material and utilizes sound progressions. You will get great material that has been used in the cage at the highest levels, and some unique looks found that can tweak a clinch to be street effective.
This is a great series covers the detail of the application of clinch position in the street. Burton Richardson is a great instructor and everything he teaches is battle tested. Highly recommended if you are interested in the street application of Clinch(dealing with weapons and more).
An excellent series that covers the whole clinch game in great detail as it specifically relates to self defense. Mr. Richardson is a great teacher; very knowledgeable, articulate and fun to learn from. Looking forward to more instructionals from him.
