Tom Deblass instructional videos have been very for my own Bjj improvement.
This is probably the best guard retention video I have ever seen. Tom breaks down concepts in a way that are super easy to understand. Monitoring the knee, controlling the crossface hand and if they get to close the head have all been a game changer for me. I'm ready to check out more of Tom's instructionals!
for sure a game changer. its the smallest details that make the biggest difference.
very good
Not having your guard passed is an under appreciated art
Its really helped improve my guard skills. This along with mr Tom half guard instructional is def makes it look like you know what your doing. Detailed techniques.
Simply put, effective fortress built
Like every Tom DeBlass video, very solid through and through
First thing i learned was the fact that i knew nothing about framing! Now i hope i won’t be as easily manhandled when i start to be able to frame while rollin. Tom is an amazing teacher and makes it possible for beginners like me to actually learn these techniques!
Tom describes great framing techniques in this instructional. My guard retention has improved over the last couple of weeks because of this instructional! I highly recommend it for everyone who is trying to develop better guard retention
Simple and well explained instructional, taylor made for people who are not flexible and athletic.
Framing instincts and guard recovery...learn from the best. If you watched ADCC2022 this weekend, you noticed how all the best were so good at framing: the when, the where, the how. Tom teaches this.
Framing is an instinct that you need to have. It can be developed. Thats what this is all about. Belt colors dont matter. Learn this stuff early and apply immediately.
This is a very useful product on a topic not very often discussed. Would highly recommend if you want to improve your guard game.
Another gem from Tom! This instructional is great especially if you want to learn and develop a way to slow down your opponent and stay competitive in your matches. Great instructional!
I have watch this serie 5 times. I always find a new tip and am able to refresh the basics.
Love it!
its amazing how something so simple can change such a huge part of your game. i have used the frames taught in this dvd in various positions that aren't covered. its a great concept for all levels and it add some key details to already know framing techniques
Toms teaching is world class. Very concise and suitable for all body types/ ages/ levels. As usual, concise instruction, teaching you all you need to know, and nothing you dont. I highly recommend this product or any other of Toms content
Great for middle aged guys. Good techniques to stop fast and aggressive guys. Very good and easy to understand explanation.
Great details and concepts.
As always, Tom takes world class instruction and teaches in a manner that is easy to follow. His explanation of framing against his opponents lead hand and keeping his own from being controlled is a concept that I use more than maybe any other defensive concept. Highly recommended video.
Tom provides great detail in his instructionals and this is one of the best I've gotten so far. The concepts he covers are already helping me to improve my guard retention.
Really good instructional
