A very technical Situp guard tutorial
A very good instructional on the sit up guard. Very detailed!
Thomas does a great job making an effective system
sit up guard is more easy than other guard position
Fantastic instructional. Worth every penny.
Thomas Rozdynski provided a series consisting of three sections. Section 1 is about playing the sit up guard by wraping one leg around the front leg of your opponent. and utilize cross sleeve to sweep. Section 2 is about utilizing the cross collar instead of the cross sleve. Section 3 is about the shin on shin sit up guard. His approach is on positioning and moving yourself to proper position where you can sweep your opponent via a hip and leg switch using your hands just as connection points to transfer your bodyweight and movement. He is explaining all techniques in a conceptual context and step by step through the techniqual details. He shows basic techniques and variations for each of the given types of sit up guard which are which are variations of each other or closely related to so that you can transfer the basic moves in between each types.Get it! :)
He does a great job teaching the concepts and options from the sit up guard.

Professor Thomas outlines different sit-up Guard positions and techniques from those positions. However, he explains the goals for movement as the guard player to succeed for the technique. His attention to detail is precise, but never overwhelming. I recommend this instructional and will likely be picking up others due to the efficacy of his instruction.

Highly recommend!!!
Honestly, this is a very first time I watched Professor Thomas instructional and I became a big fan very fast. Amount of details included into his videos is unbelievable. I also love the teaching style, analyzing balance and gravity.
I like the approach of using gravity to sweep. Professor thank you for sharing this concept. I will be using this a lot.
Fabulous instruction Effective and helpful techniques!
This instructional by Thomas Rozdzynski teaches sweeps from the sit up guard. It comprises three volumes where he teaches sweeps from the traditional sit up guard; a sit up guard where you are unable to control the opponent’s far sleeve; and a sit up guard that incorporates shin to shin. It is a comprehensive detailed instructional including entries, potential opponent responses and variations. The content is logically ordered. The instructional is taught in Gi and has a total runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes. In my opinion based on this instructional and his escapes instructional, Thomas Rozdzynski is an effective instructor. I really like that he is focused on the content and there is no unnecessary banter or unrelated content. He speaks clearly and with purpose. His demonstrations are clear, the Uke seems to know what is happening and when repeated the demonstrations are consistent. As filmed you can see the required detail and he is aware of the need to change angles to the camera as required. In summary, his teaching is very professional. I assume he values your time. I have been practicing some of the techniques learned in this instructional and they are working for me. The instructional was filmed with a fixed camera. Video (quality including lighting, range and focus) is good. There are no issues with sound. In summary, if you are interested in learning how to sweep people reliably and effectively from the sitting guard, I would recommend purchasing this instructional. The techniques are not complicated nor difficult to learn and from my experience they work. Importantly the teaching and content is excellent.
Super comprehensive, covering all the possible reactions one might face.
Thomas, this is awesome. I love how you break down concepts and gravity. I tried it last night at the gym with high success. Thank you for filming this.
