Love it, useful tu any kind of players !
good stuff
This instructional has really helped me out in working on my guard retention.
This instruction shows that you don't have to be very strong or very flexible to retain your guard. Just right mindset and right body movements. A must watch video for lower belts!
Perhaps the #1 instructional for white belts. It's easy to get stuck in the scope creep of endless options for submissions and techniques, but guard retention is the #1 thing I've found helps by game. This instructional uses the funnel approach of showing general concepts to each type of technique, effectively teaching you not just "counter A with B" but things to keep in mind at all times when rolling. Worth its weight in gold and I've recommended this to everyone.
Great
Helped me truly understand the goal and purpose of guard retention. John was able to explain concepts in simple manner.
Hands down one of the best if not the best instructional out there on guard retention! This is one of the very few instructionals out there on guard retention. I feel this is a topic that needs to be really pushed!
Well explained BJJ,

Great Instructional! Already learned new concepts in just the first few minutes.
A systematic review of Guard Retention. I needed this theory and practical instruction
so many nuggets to use and reference throughout my journey.
Great details
Great video for begginers, very easy to follow instructions and simple explanations to help you on your jui-jitsu journey. Worth every penny and John Danaher is a great teacher, wish I could role and learn from him in person but this is the next best way to do it. Thank you BJJ Fundamentals. Buy this video and study every word and technique, it will focus your mind and body. "This is the way" ;)
It is very easy to simply learn how to do something overtime and not really know why we are doing a particular action or why certain habbits are formed. I've rolled with a lot of black belts who can't easily explain to me why they do what the do and what makes them effective. They are kind of like fish in water - they don't know they're in water. Hence, why I really like Danaher's instructionals. John's approach always starts with the big picture and overall context then funnels down into specific moves etc. And even though a lot of his initial observations are simple in concept, it is so helpful to me to internalize the lessons and put them into action. While the big picture explainations upfront aren't for everyone, I encourage you to stick with it and keep revisiting overtime. You'll improve your Jiu Jitsu much faster.
Excellent
