I have seen many instructionnals on this thematic , ans this one is definitly the essentiel one. its about concepts ans Principles then applies it to each guard passing techniques you will have to defend
Great advice I never would have come to on my own. Clear and concise instruction. Can't wait to implement these at my gym.Shout out to Mr. Danaher the jiu jitsu savant.
This instructional helped me build a high level of confidence in my guard retention. This allowed me to take more risk on the offensive side knowing that I could get my guard back if I failed.
As expected: a very detailed instructional
This instructionals helped me a lot to improve my guard rétention wich was very Bad before this vidéo. Every one could pass my guard pretty easely but now they struggle a lot more to do it :)
They are truly fundamental concepts that will hold you back if you don't understand. I appreciate how simply he explains them so that anyone can understand.
Excellent content.
Some learning styles really need to know the “why” of how something works in order to truly see its value. If your are one of these people - this series is like a manual for how to incorporate the most fundamental moves in jujitsu and make them your own. A ‘must have’ Jon Danaher series.
Great overall view of guard retention and how to work to get back to stronger positions
The general overview combined with a more step by step approach to different passing defence provides a great base to build up your defensive game
many details, good for all levels
Always helpful in building a strong fundamental knowledge base. Danaher is a fantastic teacher and breaks things down in a simple way.
Sooo much food for your thoughts. It will require a lot of time and patience to go through it, but the general theory part it's worth every second and penny. Game changer.
This was the first instructional I purchased and completely opened my eyes to the benefits of additional study outside of the gym. Anything from Danaher is going to improve your technique
This has help me tremendously, just a few of the small subtle details have helped me a lot retaining guard as a middle-aged featherweight.
Extremelly clear, up-to-the-point and useful.
Really helpful instructional about an essential topic that is not often taught directly. It contains both general concepts and a system applicable for retaining guard against all passes, as well as specific counters to the most common guard passes.
I’m depth teaching
The content is very good although the quality of the sound is not always great. Also the tiles for each section are not descriptive enough to help me look what i am looking for.
Great video
My fav coach to watch. Easy to understand
Very in depth tutorial
Good stuff!!!
For those new to Jiu Jitsu, trying to understand guard retention can be difficult. Professor Danaher once again gives precise yet simple explanations to every aspect of this skill. There's a lot of content and applying it all in the training room will take time, but it will be time well spent.
Danaher's instructionals are always top notch. There is 7 hours of great information here.
