I have always loved lapel techniques, especially gi chokes. It was the first system I learned as a white belt many years ago and now I get to revisit this with fresh eyes an it’s great for beginners an advanced. Best part is you can start learning with out waiting for a shipped dvd.

The energy in the video is hard to match with other videos! Miko brings another level of excitement to the presentation - you can talk he’s genuinely interested in the subject. I think this helps give his explanations more depth.

This was a fun series which I got allot out of. It shows nice and simple but effective use of the lapel to get the submissions and is suitable for lower level belts.

This was a fun series. Miko has a very detailed approach on the finer points of finishing but makes the whole series fun and engaging. the moves are achievable for any level and easily transferable to the mat. Great instructional.

Very useful and entertaining, which is a big deal because so many instructional's are boring to watch. The lapel chokes are shown by Hytonen are great, I loved executing them on my team members as they attempted to do the same to me. Very important to get the the gi loose first.

This is an amazing and fun instructional to purchase. The detail explanations on lapel usage was insightful. Instructor Miko, teaches each technique by positional usage. The details on each lapel choke is applicable and sneaky. Recommended.

Excellent instructional from Mr. Hytonen. Super enthusiastic instructor, if he doesn't get you excited about doing lapel chokes, no one will!!! Covers all bases here with lapel chokes...the title is 100% accurate!

I love using the gi as a weapon, and this guy not only shows you how to use it as a weapon, he makes it funny, his poor buddy spider gets the lapel over and over and sometimes he taps him again just for fun…. One of my new favorites I added to my list of go to moves is the guard lapel Ezekiel and if I can’t get entire hand in there because the recipient is wiggling around too much or it’s a fat dude in a little gi I use my fist and turn it into a thrust choke! Boom baby!

Lots of attacks from various positions. Miko does each move slowly and repeatedly, explaining each step as he progresses. Excellent video and great positive energy on this video. I've already put several of the attacks into use at the gym, much to the chagrin of my partners. I've learned a lot from this instructional!

I really enjoyed watching and learning from this video. The techniques work well in rolling and Miko was full of energy in teaching them. Some of my partners were caught unaware of the danger that the lapel can pose to them. Great stuff. Worth every cent of it.
