Excellent practical instructional video! You can tell he put some thought into it.
Even though I feel like I have some athleticism available, I'm really enjoying learning ways to not rely on it. This includes some great ways to simply use mechanics and positioning to get where you want to be.
love your videos-I've incorporated some of these moves into my game!
Thanks, Coach! You've literally saved me half of my energy. I'm not scrambling in the beginning anymore. I'm 2 on 1 all the way out of guard and using my energy for the finish!
Very useful. This style is a great alternative for older or less athletic BJJ practitioners.
Tom is my favourite instructor. I'm a gi guy and struggle with no-gi...especially at my age. His insights are so straight up.
Professor DeBlass provides a practical sound game with a few high quality effective techniques you can actually remember and use!
Great overview of moves / philosophy for older grapplers.
Necessity! Necessity! Necessity! If I knew this approach when I was younger, I wouldnt have issues recovering "from the issues" of not using it. Youung Heads watching, if you use this approach as a base philosophy and practice, you can be a chamelean with a long, and healthy career. You can be as athletic and ballistic when you need to, being most efficiant and economical as you need or can.
Tom teaches in a simple and easy to understand way.
Clear instructions and great for any level of skill.
This instructional covers the topic of GRAPPLING as you age from top to bottom. Great buy!
Excellent companion volume to Toms middle aged gi edition. The technique are simple and effective. Tom has a very down to earth teaching style that is easy to understand.
Great Instuctional!
Great instructional. Perfect for the older grappler
Great instruction clear and precise, well worth the money
As with the first instruction Middle Aged BJJ this one follows up with straight forward, no-nonsense approach. Understanding that age takes its toll with a reduction in speed flexibilty and recovery this is a "must have" for any older grappler who wishes to remain active. The techniques have helped me on the mats with teammates that are stronger faster and younger than myself.
Not middle aged yet, but never too early to start practicing different approaches to promote longevity on the mats
I knew Tom DeBlass was a top competitor who’s gone on to train many of today’s top competitors, and I’m kicking myself in the *** for waiting so long to grab one of his instructionals! Tom is an awesome teacher who breaks things down in an easy-to-understand, no-nonsense way! Since I grabbed Middle Aged BJJ 2, I’ve purchased his instructional on Guard Retention and Framing and it’s just as awesome—I intend to get more!
