As a beginner and a try hard, I found Danaher's lectures and philosophy to be very helpful. In a Fundamentals class, there just isn't enough time to go in-depth like he does. It would take several months of Fundamentals to accumulate what I was able to learn in a 20 min lesson from Danaher. That being said, you will need to practice these moves. It won't make you magically better, but it will help give you a deeper understanding than your peers.
Not all the way finished, but amazing detail (8 hours+ long) Great detail for breaking body lock with back mount. Has a lot of applications if you like leg locks, since it covers escapes directly into attacks. Also mentioned chaining attacks afterwards (upper to lower body attacks out of positional escapes.) Honestly it has immediately applicable stuff, but keep in mind Danaher is very detailed and has extensive explanations. This is the best part for me, but some may get impatient. Honestly all the details is worth the wait.
I like all of John danahers instructional. He goes into great depth to explain. He repeats it several time and from all different angles, so you get the full understanding of what he is trying to achieve. Nothing is wild, even his attacks are based on defence
Simply the best by the best ! You can’t find a better way to educate yourself about positional escape .. it’s a must for everyone in the business
Au top les positions d'évasion, John donne des très bon conseils pour sortir des positions difficiles.
Helped me develop a counter attacking mindset. No more just being satisfied with escaping.
Excellent! Everything is broken down and explained so succinctly that even a noob like me could put a lot of the material to use after just my first watch through.
Excellent instructional video- John breaks down every technique in painstaking detail- he is obviously a master of every detail of the technique
Great instructional, more than you need !
I found the teachings to be extremely helpful in my development and growth of jui jitsu.
As always great teaching
Great instructional. Danaher explains the techniques concisely and effectively.
It is honestly an incredibly amazing instructional with the many insights and impressive ways of thinking. Many of the techniques and philosophies that are seen by his students such as Gordon Ryan in competition are elegantly explained. This makes all the important concepts extremely easy to understand while still being ground breaking. Overall, this is a great instructional and I highly recommend it to students of any level as it will help to improve anyone’s game.
Thank you John! You’ve fone it again! The level of detail is mesmerizing! And once again John answers the questions im too ****** even to ask. The truly is one of the greatest teachers of the art!
As usual - top notch instructions and they really differ from the former pin escapes video.
John never miss details. Really good
Amazing instruction. Really glad these are available for everyone to learn from.
Excellent instructional video written by a person who studies jiu jitsu, and uses a analytical approach to solving the challenges of each position. This video has the ability to improve/ change the way you approach all positions on the mat. I have practiced the techniques and used them when rolling. The proof of concept is in my ability to successfully escape from dominant positions.
First couple of minutes I watched, I noticed a detail I missed for years. Changed my side control escape immediately.
This is a fantastic instructional! Helped me prep for my tournament.
Excellent narrative. Worth the price
Aside from all the phenomenal technical details what I found most useful was the mindset shift and how each technique was reinforced with an attacking mindset.
Not yet through watching the whole thing but so far it's as I'd expect... very high quality. There's no one better.
Goes deep. ...deeper, keeps going, its deep.
This is a great video and one of the first instructional I got. I am a while belt and have the confidence to escape higher belts that get good positions on me and I am able to easily go on the offensive. I couldn't recommend it enough
