Being able to have access to the best instructors is a game changer
This site is so awesome, every time I get lost or stuck on a topic I can always go over videos from the best of the best instructors. If you're serious about Bjj or even a hobbyist like myself, this is the place where you can nerd out!!

You know what you're getting with Danaher: a very dense instructional with some absolutely outstanding material if you're willing to put in the work to comprehend it. Out of all his courses which I've watched, this one might be the most beginner-friendly (which may be intentional, given how beginner instruction is traditionally focused on surviving and escaping). That's not to say this is "easy" to follow- no Danaher course is- but if you're on the fence about his stuff, this is an excellent starting point, and extremely rewarding once you work through it.

Top notch instructional. Great positional escape details that then transition into an attack sequence. This is very different from typical escape instructionals that just get you to a neutral position. IMO this is the best escape instructional available. Even if you are a beginner I would start here and develop this kind of mindset (going from defense straight to offense instead of neutral) and drilling these techniques and sequences. Anyone that has never bought a Danaher instructional, just do it, you'll be blown away by the ideas, details and coaching that can be applied at any level. I had started drilling the clamp and different ways to get to it as it was new to me Shortly there after, during a live roll i escaped side control to half guard then to the clamp that led to an arm bar submission. I surprised myself and my training patner how easy and smoothly I went from a defensive situation one second to a submission in the next :upside_down: I love BJJfanatics, learning stuff from the GOAT BJJ coach John Danaher here.

John went over all the nuances of every position and presented the scenarios in simple cohesive language. I am able to get out of almost all the pins during rolls. Still struggle a bit with the side control, especially against the bigger guys, but the principles in this instructional are very helpful to think about the biomechanics involved in the movements.
