Good product
I wish I had this when I first started. An absolutely essential foundation to have. This has changed my game more than any other Danaher video I’ve purchased.
great
Like all John Danaher videos, the content and coaching is exceptional. Big takeaway is a paradigm shift in thinking: from being Ok with just escaping a pin to always being offensive minded and finding the decisive moment in an escape sequence to attack. This video fundamentally shifted how I approach positional escapes and although I do not yet have the skill to perform all the submissions, the concepts and philosophy alone are game changing.
Probably one of the best (if not the best) teachers of the modern jiu jitsu game presenting a comprehensive study of no gi fundamentals. This positional escapes video is a starting point to a good foundation in jiu jitsu. It covers the major positions and various ways to escape from the most common pins you will encounter in your jiu jitsu journey. Although it's a fundamentals video, the skills taught in this video will be useful for everyone at all levels.
Brilliant instructional!
I have been wanting this knowledge from the great teacher John Danaher. This is basically a seminar on defense in no gi
love the content very easy to understand
Great Stuff
Escape Skills Are The Basis of Your Confidence in Jiu Jitsu!
Despite being a blue belt I always felt that my escaping skills needed further work. It was enough to survive most of the atacks of the upper belts and eventually somehow grind through to the neutral position to be instantly pinned again. This philosophy of reversing the table completely is something I'm in dare need of. And I totally like the idea of having only a little bunch of high precentage and well trained techniques than collecting a variety of fancy moves, none of them being drilled enough and eventually not working in sparring and competition.
An excellent first instructional. Keep re-visiting this weekly and the knowledge will become muscle memory. Great for surviving white belt!
John Danaher doesn't want you pinned anymore, you'll never **** at the elbow escape again...
Wow !!! Game changer.
Golden wisdom
Positional escapes is the first course a **** as a beginner! highly recommend!
Danaher provides plenty of information. If anything a bit repetitive but very good nonetheless.
Helped me a ton feel comfortable in positions I never had a real plan for. Goes into depth of the why’s and how’s
I've been training for 1 year and this instructional has helped me progress drastically. I have much more confidence in my defensive skills which has helped me progress faster in the sport.
Excellent instructional video for all levels of BJJ students. Fundamentals are stressed in all positional defenses and escapes. Danaher has study how the controls in each position work and how to best defeat those controls.
