Danaher is very good at breaking things down to their fundamental parts. This instructional has made me much more comfortable in these positions.
Great overview and deep dive into escaping many of the most common and high level submissions
Finally I can mitigate getting submitted with a clear goal and step by step system. Mr. Danaher's escapes are really saving me during sparring and giving me the offensive confidence to go for submissions because if it fails then I have the confidence to escape. Great content as usual from a great mind. This instructional is a must have.
Wish I would have focused more on pin and submission escapes at earlier belts. Great instructional with key details to effortlessly escape.
This is a great video and goes over everything from more beginner-intermediate techniques and goes over advanced techniques all really well
A great new way to think about escaping submissions. I've just been trying to stay safe, now I can see counterattack options.
I'm on part 7 out of 8, and have some drilling to do to ingrain some of these, but already I'm getting subbed significantly less. The leg lock section in particular, which I haven't finished watching yet, has made a big impact. I used to be afraid of leg locks, and not really know how to escape, but now I'm letting people enter into my legs, and only really proficient leg lockers are submitting me.
John Danaher really already brought a big change into the Jiang Hu, started with his leglock system, but who would have known that he reteaches almost the whole game by now. The only thing one can say by now ist Thank God Mr. Danaher is making these instructionals and please make New Wave Jiu Jitsu instructionals for the gi, too. ❤️️
Worth every penny. I learned so much. You get to learn how to escape armbars, triangles, front headlock, and tons of leg locks. He even teaches you lots of counters including many heel hook positions/submissions. You will get tons of value from these videos. I plan to come back to them for years to come.
Danaher is one of the most amazing teachers out there every series I get ( and I have a few) I learn so many new details about techniques that I have learned in the past
:call_me_hand:
Great DVD with great detail regarding Passing the supine Guard, Body Locking and Half Guard Passing.
Awesome
In my opinion this should be required learning for everyone.
Great course, JD is a legend and anything he says will always be trusted and understood
Professor/teacher Danaher lays out a espectacular instructional were all the concepts that I had problems with were resolved ( at least on a theoretical level haha). I can’t recommend this instructional enough, it will definitely change your game.
I have no official gym, but I have different circles of friends from rival gyms. I definitely surprised a lot of different practitioners of different ranks with what I learned from here.
If you buy Danaher, you can't go wrong. This treatise contains the depth, clarity and thoroughness that we have come to expect from John Danaher. Study and practice these concepts and techniques, and you will become an extremely tough nut to crack.
Incredible in depth explanation on how to defend but more importantly re-attack after defending. High quality audio plus video.
Excellent!
Having a great offense means to take risks, in order to takes risks you must be confident in your defense. This instructional has really helped to built my confidence in the worst spots!
Another instructional from J. Danaher. Always the same result: :top: Great stuff.
Another Gem from Danaher ; You can start aplying these principles since day one. Havent nearly achieved perfection with this moves but, I will keep working on them! The confidence that you gain when you know that you can escape from bad positions (I highly recommend also the pin escapes from new wave series also) from bad positions really is a game changer!
Awesome instructional. Throughout the series John seemlessly integrates general conceptual ideas with a hierarchy of technical options, that may be applied from a given disadvantageous position. Concepts are explained in thoughtful, easy to understand manner. Techniques are articulated well, which makes them easier to remember.
The idea of turning all your escapes into an opportunity to attack is so simple but so different to what everyone else teaches
