Great instructional. Complete breakdown from one position to the next.
Building better mount and attacks
He is truely changing the way the No Gi game is played. I look foward to smother tapping people out from mount.
amazing - I'm cruising everyone with this
this is so detailed John breaks down everything. all my questions answered
excellent!
This is the system that all the New Wave guys are using to dominate the grappling world. my game got so much better due to this tutorial.
I thought my mount game was excellent until I watched this video. I have so much work to do. I have noticed immediate results after watching just half of this tutorial. I wished I watched this 6 months ago.
greatness
outstanding content and his ability to explain the details is pure genius
No one explains details better than John. It´s a great way to learn and improve.
This instructional is amazing and I can't praise it enough. If you get nothing else other than transitioning to mount with a single chest wrap it's worth it. I've been working through this content for several months (only really 20% through it in terms of what I've retained so far) and I’ve seen astronomical leaps in my mount game. I can’t overstate how large of a difference this has made. It’s helped me retain the mount on the few people that used to always escape. It’s working on black belts. No matter who it is, if they let me get to a single chest wrap mount I am confident in my ability to get a submission. The upper belts at my gym step their game up and I can feel panic if I get remotely near transitioning to mount with a single chest wrap. I’ve never felt so confident in my ability to convert a position to a submission. The sequences are great. The finishing mechanics are great. The heuristics are interesting and changing how I view grappling. However, potentially the largest difference I’ve seen is thinking of ‘sub positions’ such as the single chest wrap as a bridge between pins and submissions. I've been teaching content from this instructional to students and I've seen huge progressions from them in a short time regarding their effectiveness from mount. Being able to articulate why beginners prefer side control to mount, and why they should resist that instinct and invest time in their mount game is helping me as a coach. Instead of saying “mount is better just trust me” or appealing to authority by pointing to Ryan or Roger, I can use my words and make a real argument as to why it’s worth their time building trust and credibility. I feel like Gordon Ryan vs Pedro Marinho is probably the best advertisement possible for this instructional, but if that didn’t sell you hopefully a rando hobbyist purple belt seeing repeated success against decent black belts will. This content works. It’s simple and easy to implement. The details on transitions are huge and will eliminate space from your top game. 11/10 would recommend. I like a lot of Danaher’s stuff (even though he talks too much sometimes and it can be hard to sit still and listen), but even among his instructionals, I would say this is the best. Danaher, thanks for putting out such great content.
This instructional has helped me become much more comfortable in mount and a lot more confident in transitioning from mount into submissions. 100% worth it.
most indepth instructor jd's explanation of concepts insures true understanding of goals
Johns conceptual breakdown of jiu-jitsu is detailed and easy to undertstand that beginners or advanced level grapplers can greatly improve
I highly recommend this or just about any other of Danaher's instructionals.
The mount explained in detail like I’ve never seen. A real eye opener with meticulous detail.
This video has been a game changer. We are only halfway through the series and after drilling the content for a few weeks we are seeing results across all belt levels! Cannot go wrong with Danaher in general, but the details in this mount series has proven results from a traditionally difficult position.
A must for anyone looking to improve their mount game!
Great Instructional. Help a lot to fix Strategies and Attacks. Very Good
As usual, Danaher delivers amazing insights and turns implicit knowledge into explicit knowledge and makes you feel silly for not grasping things before. After spending MANY MANY hours on this system I can say though that this system could have easily been packed into 6 (max 7) parts but Danaher is systematic and keeps loyal to the 8-part structure. Oh, and Mister Danaher, in the chapter where you explain the 10 subtypes of mounts, there are actually just 9!! :) But seriously, highly recommended!
So many amazing details that make control that leads to submission so much easier. I particularly like the details for high mount.
The first couple of chapters alone are worth the price of this instructional. If you are struggling with building the confidence to mount someone like I have throughout the years then this instructional is for you.
great system and is a game changer
