Very good - recommend!
Another Great instructional by the greatest coach ever, BJJ Fanatics is the best place for service, solutions, and strategies to improve your game.
The best if you want to know all the details and like extensive explanations about why and when things work.
Every Danaher instructional is pure gold. In this particular one he explains his system on the Full Mount PIN, with different set ups, transitions and the 4 basic attacks, all in detail and explaining as always the reasons behind. There are great attacks here, and Placido´s revenge is the most devastating one.
I used to avoid mount like the plague, because of the safe ( relatively speaking ) yet unstable nature of the position. I found myself looking more for north/sounth scrambles into backtakes or kimura set ups after a pass. With the simple yet effective solutions found in this course, I do not consider topmount as a checkpoint but more as a viable and controlled option for submission grappling.
I have always loved the mount position, but I ability to retain it or submit people from it has always been a conundrum. Danaher shows a simple 4-step method of attacking from mount. He demonstrates how variations of mount play an important role in retention. Personally, I have used this method to consistently generate back exposure. The simplicity and effectiveness of the techniques and this instructional can not be understated. Whenever I can't get the breakthrough from back control; I confidently transition to mount.
Very informative and easy to understand. I was able to implement these strategies right away.
Best one i ever watched
Another excellent instructional from John Danaher - as usual in-depth coverage not just of what to do but why it works
Tons of great info! I like hearing the real-time feedback from placido as well. It helps give the techniques more context
I really appreciate the simplicity of this system. Details given by John in combination with the 4x4 system’s simplicity make this both an effective and easily implemented strategy.
It's always great instructional video !
That far trap grip is excellent, thanks.
