Mr. Danaher presents us with a very easy to follow system for half guard in nogi, with the great addition of some wrestling scenarios and moves
Best BJJ investment of all time!
If you are looking to transform your bottom game from a position of survival into a highly offensive web of dilemmas, this is the instructional you need. John Danaher’s New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No-Gi Half Guard 3 Directions of Attack completely shifted how I view bottom control. As I've progressed through the ranks and refined my game at the brown belt level, I can confidently say that this specific series laid the deep fundamentals of my half guard game. Danaher doesn't just show you isolated sweeps or disjointed submissions; he builds a comprehensive, unified system.
This is the best half guard instructional I’ve ever seen. Easy to understand and you can immediately implement the techniques into your game.
Fantastic breakdowns, as always, from Mr Danaher. His systematic approaches make everything fall into place and make sense. One of the best half guard instructionals out there. Highly recommend!
Danaher is a master of practical detail, always explained clearly
I highly recommend this instructional. The three directions of attack make the system very structured and easy to understand. John Danaher explains every transition, control, and detail with incredible precision. The instructional helps you attack efficiently while conserving energy and maintaining strong positional control.

Very well thought and explained. If you look at the overarching theme of this video it really helps to guide what you need in the moment and helps you not feel like you have consumed it all upon first few viewings
great techniques, and philosophy of Half-Guard
Another Danaher classic. The tiniest details make the biggest impacts and Danaher does a masterful job explaining them.
The Go Further Faster Half Guard DVD is one of John Danahers first DVDs and its very short and not perfectly assortet. Its pretty confusing. But The New Wave Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Half Guard is very well logically built and has all the cool stuff missing in the Go Further Faster DVD: Deep Half Guard, Body Locks, a very deep view on the Elbow Escape and Knee Shield. All the good stuff is in there. But the considerations about the grip fight alone makes it worth it. You get this understanding of non robust grips and the nessecety of following the opponent to truly make it work in No Gi. Its Fantastic!
John Danaher has the talent to take a subject and conceptualize it in such a brilliant and clean way. Amazing lessons.

Great no gi instructions, especially if you like to play from your back.
I learned a lot from this instructional. Glad to add it to my collection!
Great Add on to his first HG series
Good level of explanation on technique and concept behind them.
excellent details on half guard
This gives you the fundamental skills needed for a strong half guard game
In No Gi Half Guard: 3 Directions of Attack, John Danaher breaks down sweeps, submissions, and back takes from half guard with surgical clarity. His system offers a reliable roadmap for controlling and countering in no-gi. A must-study for anyone building a modern no-gi game.
Very detailed and connected to leg locks.
great halfguard instructional for begginer and advance
