As usual with Danahurs stuff. Explained in super fine detail and examined from every angle possible. Hours and hours of fine details. Great content.
Very good content
Another magnificent work from the mind of John Danaher! It might be simpler at this rate if BJJ Fanatics had a monthly withdrawal system for my paycheques. Half guard is a position I’m very comfortable in and John Danaher has shown me new details that are well worth the purchase price.
The first 3 volumes alone were enough to completely change my once misplaced view on the quality of half guard
Amazing insight and breakdown of not only the moves themselves but more the problems associated with half guard and the roadmap to discerning and solving them. Well produced also!
Another great instructional. Interchangeable with Gordons Half Guard series. For myself, working between both helps me piece the half guard concepts together a lot easier.. I’ve never really understood half guard so avoided being in the position.. these videos have helped me gain some real confidence in the position and slowly move forward.
JD Provides further insight into the unification of his systems
Detail to techniques making it easy to understand for any belt level
Great instructional video !
Well thought and structured! Love all the concepts and the these were explained! <3
This is a phenomenal resource.
Learned so much from this within just the first 10 minutes. This is an ENCYCLOPEDIA of knowledge to the microscopic level of Jiu-Jitsu. You NEED to get this instructional!!!
Professor John Danaher explains half guard as a superior means of attacking your opponent from bottom position. He demonstrates the level of connection allows you to off balance your opponent to set up sweeps or submissions with simplicity and ease. Danaher shows how he eliminates the scramble after the sweep to maintain control of your opponent. What I enjoyed most was the special study of the ude gatame. I was able to develop a drilling sequence based upon the common defensive reactions shown in the instructional.
Not all the way through yet, but as with several of JD’s other instructions (and even more so with this one), the information is having an immediate positive impact on my grappling performance, and the way I think while rolling, in the half guard position specifically, but also more generally. As with lots of his other stuff, this would be worth the investment, even if the only thing you took from it, was the very clever grip sequences shown, that can be immediately put into practice very profitably.
