Great info on hand fighting. This was much needed for me.
I picked up Nicky Rod's Slay the Hand Fight because I needed a more direct approach to standup, and this definitely delivered. The material isn't complicated or packed with fluff. Nick gets straight to the point, showing clear grips, snaps, and ties that make sense. The best part is how easy the techniques are to apply. I didn't have to drill them for weeks to get the hang of the mechanics. I was able to instantly implement the offensive and counter-offensive setups during live rounds against other brown belts at the gym. It just works. If you want a no-nonsense guide to winning the hand fight, this is a good pickup.
Great instructional of you never wrestled before. By Nicky Rod.

Excellent
Must buy if you want to take your wrestling based no-gi takedowns to the next level
Good details on gaining better position on the feet
This instructional is a door opener for many taekdowns. His stuff works really well.
I have learned a lot from the instructional.
Interesting Handfighting addition that also goes for the subtle movements instead of big moves.
Very useful
Amazing instructional! Take control of your opponent from standing position with this vital system from Nicky rod.
Must have for anyone who wants to take their takedown game to the next level. It all starts with the hand fight, and Nicky Rod shows you how to get the upper hand
hand fighting was my weakest area. I was always flustered when standing and lost the hand fight instantly. ALAS, nicky breaks down his hand fighting concepts and techniques so well here, it has opened many doors for me and given me confidence when standing. no more taking sloppy shots from far out!
Bought this as soon as I saw it. One of the biggest obstacles for me in learning to do standup was handfighting. There's always so much going on at once it can be hard to understand what's happening. Nicky does a great job of breaking things down for people that have no experience with standup, and I'd also imagine that more experienced grapplers could benefit from this dvd too. I definitely recommend!
Really improved my stand up
Really gives you the way to get to the takedown or the back.
Nicky provided a well-organized instructional on no-gi hand fighting. The material was easy to follow and the purpose of each technique presented was easy to understand. After a short time of studying the material, I can mentally drill the techniques and can combine them with the material I already know. Now all I need to do is drill them to them second nature.
By far the best instructional and hand fighting and creating angles!
I really learned a lot.
