Amazing content as usual from John Danaher. His whole series is great, if you are new to the sport, i would say start here
Great for any level and great breakdown of the techniques. Escapes are the foundation of jiu jitsu and this video is a must have in your collection. John Danaher breaks down the system of escapes so it is easy to understand and retain.
I’ve only been at it for a couple months. I don’t know very much at this point. This video has helped tremendously in learning and understanding escapes. I’ve been able to use what I have learned successfully on many people. John really goes into detail on different techniques and why you might be having trouble. It’s definitely put me months ahead of where I would be.
I am training since ten years. Thanks to this instructional I am learning for the first time the foundations of proper escapes. It is an enormous game changer. Good escapes lead to a lot more confidence on the mat and let your techniques mature generally. I would highly recommend the information on this video.
I started BJJ during lockdown at home with only one trainings partner and videos as instruction. John Danaher's videos helped me to get an overview of the hole system (4 steps - always know where to go) and therefore how to plug individual concepts and technics into it. The level of detail he goes into is great if you do not have a trainer to show it to you directly.
It is helping me to go further faster
This is a wonderful series that will help you to take your defense to the next level.
Superb. Unreal levels of details as you would expect
Went from noob to less noob
Feels like a powerful starting point for me as a new white belt
Very detailed and informative, super helpful for beginners
John has set this training up to be almost fool proof! Everything about his instruction is slow, precise and methodical. Get a coupon and order this video now, you will not be disappointed.
I'm a white belt looking for some at home drills. (shush up rona skeptics, this is my review) Danaher says to keep your mind on the game, and this really really helps. He said to really focus on escapes at first as that helps you understand how to defeat escapes as well. I HATE GI, but this was highly informative and helpful.
I now feel like I know how to escape all of the main pins. Furthermore, when I can't remember the specific escapes during rolling, I fall back on the general five step approach. The instruction is incredibly clear. All the escapes work for both Gi and NoGi. I feel much more confident in my ability to escape pins after watching this.
Still pretty new to BJJ with about 3 months under my belt. The Danaher videos were recommended to me, but due to the price, I had to start with one at a time. So glad I picked this one. I feel like the instructions are easy to follow and it helps build confidence having specific moves/strategies to develop and work on. Looking forward to making my second Danaher purchase soon.
I still **** but this dvd is great!
The specific details are awesome . If you struggle with escaping make sure you get this. I’m a blue belt and elbow escape was pretty useless against brown and black belts . Now I know the small but crucial mistakes that caused me to waste a lot of energy, stay stuck on bottom and eventually tap out .
This is a major investment for a lot of people, but it represents real value for money. The benefits from purchasing this instructional and absorbing the content will be noticeable for most people every time they role. I haven’t ever met someone who likes to be crushed and pinned down during a roll. The content is comprehensive. The information provided is not just mechanical, but also includes the concepts and the logic to the escape. There is just so much good material, that if studied it will significantly help improve your ability to escape from the mount position, side control, north-south, the back and turtle positions. The better your escapes the more confident you will be to try submissions, with the knowledge that if your submission fails and your position is compromised that you should be able to efficiently and effectively escape a pin and move to a better position. The instructional is just under 11 hours long.
Mr. Danaher is by far one of my favourite coaches in sport of grappling. After excellent "Enter the System" series, he approached fundamentals of Gi BJJ to help athletes improve at a faster rate. That being said, when I bought this instructional I already knew that it will supercharge my fundamental understanding of disadvantageous positions and provide me with heuristic system how to escape them. No disappointment here, loads of useful information with very profound and elaborate details. If you want to review, refine and reinforce your defensive game - then even if you're higher belt - I definitely recommend it.
Really enjoy the concepts-first approach. Very clear and understandable. Danaher helps you to understand exactly where you are and what your goal is, from any given pinned position.
My regular training partners is 7 years younger than me and I've begun to slow. This video has helped me to recover guard effectively and negate the advantages of a younger, faster training partner. If you end up in positions that requires quick effective escapes, then this comes highly recommended from me.
Incredible content. The lessons are broken down into ideas that are backed with practical demonstrations. Most importantly, John Danaher helps you UNDERSTAND the fundamental mechanics to these escapes. A+++
Really helpful series. I look forward to watching his other series. My one complaint is about the media player. It doesn’t let you download unless you’re on a desktop. I travel a lot and it’d be nice to download the videos on my iPad.
Mr Danaher's system is simple to understand and effective. That said, a large degree of the effectiveness of his program (any program TBH) relies on your ability to grasp his concept well (which he explains in great clear detail). I have not had any instructor explain to me concepts of Jiu-Jitsu like Mr Danaher. As a newbie white belt at 35 years old, I am able to keep up with teens and young adults who are one belt level above me with only a 4 months of training. Rest assured I will be purchasing more of 'Go Further Faster' series in the near future.
Danaher + fundamentals = Must own for anyone who trains BJJ.
