great
Changed my entire approach to top position.
Made a huge difference to my top game
the lower body controls Craig teaches have played well into my game. it's easier to even hold down higher belts with these concepts in mind
dont stay in rule and points.
Great Content!
Craig Jones
great ideas on control!
immediate addition to my game
A fantastic presentation on Jiu Jitsu and pinning.
Great techniques in this instructional
One of the best videos on BJJ fanatics. Simple principles for effective play.
A ridiculously powerful toolset of control to supplement your style.
Great ideas but a lot of discussion about breaking away from usual thinking in BJJ. Will definitely try these new methods of control.
This is basically the future of BJJ. Remenber when leglocks were neglected ? This is the second season, using the legs to establish control.
Loved this instructional. Craig's got a great way of delivering the content and the concepts discussed were real game changers for my passing/pinning. Overall, I'm far more focussed now on controlling my opponent and letting them provide me with the opportunity to sub them, rather than diving on subs.
Completely changed the way I think about control and dominant positions! Paradigm shift of going for points versus true control. Like many other of Craig’s videos the concepts open up so many new possibilities and ways of enhancing your game. Highly recommend.
Nice
So useful for MMA, a different point of view of pinning, Craig is a great teacher
Excellent instructional! A real game changer! Craig demonstrates and teaches a lot of leg-riding techniques, which provide excellent control over an opponent and can compliment conventional pins.
This instructional is long enough for the price, has great unique content, explained well with multiple angles, shows care and respect by making people aware of dangers without shying away from more difficult or risky techniques, and most important is entertaining and fun to watch.
This instructional has helped me a ton with controlling my opponents in no-gi. As Craig explains, this pinning system is NOT what we are used to being taught in terms of the traditional positions. It's worked very well on my training partners and opponents. Highly recommend playing with these concepts!
amazing new positions to pin the opponent
Seems basic but the controlling mechanisms here work exceptionally well. Ive focused on controlling rather than traditionally passing and my submissions have increased dramatically. Cooking people with some of these control mechanism has really helped tiring out bigger opponents. Great tools to keep in the bag
Craig Jones goes into detail about the nature of pinning and explains that the traditional BJJ pins, the ones that usually score points in competition, are not really the most effective ways to actually control an opponent. He shows alternative pinning techniques borrowed from wrestling and also shows how to adapt these to submission grappling. Super interesting and potentially game changing.
