What else would you expect?
This is an outstanding instructional from a legend. My Professor plays butterfly a lot and this gives me a deep understanding of what he is trying to accomplish. It helps me either stop or slow his game down to at least get submitted in other ways!

This was a good video. I wish it went over some of the basics, mostly intermediate and advanced. I wish he also had a focus for the Gi as well.

Brilliant as with all of Marcelo's videos. Perfect explanation at a perfect pace. The start to finish chain is what I love about all of his tutorials. Most importantly, it all works so well, with practice.

What is there more to say? A must have from one of the GOATS! Very clear instructions and even as a blackbelt I learned a lot. If you don't know who he is I highly suggest you look him up and watch him fight against all sizes!

Marcelo Garcia has a wonderful grasp on how to sequence lessons. Each lesson about butterfly guard stacks in a way that allows the student to understand the different options and scenarios of the position. Marcelo ensures that you have a flow chart of success.

This was one of the first instructionals I purchased from BJJ Fanatics. I was just starting at the time. The butterfly guard isn't considered one of the "fundamentals" in BJJ, but I think it's getting to the point that it should. It made a huge difference for me, even as a white belt. And it's a guard that is played through all the levels. This instructional should be required learning in my opinion.

The instructional has a great focus on butterfly sweeps from various positions rather than submission. It contains a lot of useful details. However there’s also a lot of repetition which can be exhausting at times.
