Guard Retention
this made my guard a lot tougher to pass
I get a lot out of Danaher's instructionals because he explains things from a high level down to the details. This is a very helpful guide to guard retention, and helps you understand what your goals in different positions.
Good content coherently set up and well explained
All the little details in this course make such a difference. Worth every penny if your a serious BJJ practitioner.
the level of instruction and amount of detail are just amazing. you are getting the very best here!!
Very insightful guard techniques
Very improve my guard retention skillsss !!!
This is really great video, you should watch this first.
A rehash of other instructional, just with far less content
The Fastest Way Series is overall excellent but this video so far is one of the best of the best. In non-static positions like guard retention its important to know goals and movement, not "techniques." I've never seen someone comprehensively describe many of the techniques in this video so clearly. Not a sexy topic but it seems like a huge gap in my game currently and looking forward to getting some of these concepts into the gym.
I consider myself a pretty good guard player and I just became an even better one with some small details.
Wonderful lesson and knowledge delivered by the master
excellent drills and explanations as always
brilliant
One of the best guard retention course I've ever seen.
Professor Danaher always delivers, simply like that. The best teacher around
This is a highly intuitive video about the mechanics and educational material of maintaining your guard and it pairs very well with his closed guard series. He states, the two most important positions and things to learn into Jitsu are developing an unpassable guard and pin escapes. This is 1/2 of the equation.
amazing
john thoroughly covers all aspects of guard retention in this dvd. it is incredible
Great guard retention materials

Mr. Danaher's videos are always worth the time, money and energy. They are always full of great insights, little details that may go unnoticed but which are of great importance. After half a decade of training you get a rough idea of the main moves, positions, ideas and philosophy of the sport and the key to further development is the knowledge of those little intricacies and subtle details. Mr. Danaher's videos are a great source for that acomplishement. The key is to come back regurarly to these videos because each time you'll find something that you did not notice, something that may have not resonated with you at first but what now speaks books.
