Great concepts from one of the greatest defense instructors in BJJ. Priit structures this guard retention system in a way that the instructions could be easily understood and learned. Classic fundamental stuff right here.
Great concepts that are immediately applicable for anyone. These concepts should be fundamental for every grappler. I firmly believe that Priit is ahead of the curve here. Great stuff
Amazing instructional with great insights to make take your guard retention to a whole other level. All of this explained in simple terms that anyone could understand 👍
A fantastic instructional on how to establish a solid, defensible structure from open guard before you can get grips and gain control on your opponent. Very interesting. Highly recommended
Nice and straightforward covering a lot of the basics in an nice way. Mad me rethink my while open guard game.
Pritt is an amazing instructor! Never saw anyone take such a complex topics and break them down to a very understandable level. Make sure to watch this instructional several times and give yourself time to understand all the movements and reason behind them. It is truly amazing to see someone explain the concepts I see over and over again with very high level guard players. Over the past 20 plus years I have done much of what Pritt teaches but all basically self learned from years on the mat. First time I ever saw someone put it all together in such a simplistic system. This has already and will continue to help me in many way. It will take time (like all skills) to become proficient and get the feel of when/how to move correctly but he shows all the necessary concepts and just as importantly how to train it all.
Great concepts with informed explanations
Good detail and the concept is very practical.
Great content
Great systematized concept. I been working with the the grilled chicken now in two weeks and it really makes sense!
I'm still at the beginning of implementing this system, but it actually started to give me some success against people on my belt level during sparring rounds. This is what makes a difference when it comes to instructionals - ability to improve your game right away without having done thousands of repetitions. Before Grilled chicken I had a very basic open guard, that was usually easily passed since I was more looking into it as a transitional position on my way to half guard. Now after few weeks since watching it - I'm able to keep opponents at bay and it adds additional layer to my defence. If you're into conceptual stuff and want to work on levelling up your defence, or if just want to have a solid open guard - then you definitely need to watch it.
It’s great stuff, Priit goes by Jitsu Vulcan for a reason, very refined and I started noticing it in all the un-passable guards at the highest level. I also like his explanation of how it leads to higher forms of open guard (e.g. no gi spider guard) so you can easily start developing your own style with these amazingly taught techniques. Thank you again, Priit.
I started in BJJ more than ten years ago and stopped like eight (LOL) and well I wish I had a teacher like this estonian back then, my comeback would have been easier but while I am still young I do believe this is the best way to learn and already after the first volume I feel I understood some concepts I´ll never forget. It impressed me how well he teaches. I am waiting for more of his work to be in Daily Deals !
This is a very concept oriented instructional. Not just a bunch of moves. Very simple concepts that are easy for anyone to apply immediately.
Although I am a big guy myself, I used to be afraid of big guys passing my guard all time. Now I am not that concerned, because even if my guard is passed, I can simply use other structures to protect myself. Frames, panda, proper turtle, running man... Yes, it's rather older men game, but I don't care, I wish I can roll til 80's ))
Very detailed instructional, I wish I had this basic kind of information on guard retention at white and blue belt. This is a must have for all beginners !
Good techniques and explanation. I wish the videos had a more thorough index to find techniques.
Excellent instructional. Nice concept centered approach. I will improve through this information.
Extremely helpful!
Well worth the money. Very detailed and easy to follow.
Conceptually, the only teacher on Priit's level is John Danaher. I find Priit's concepts & methods less overwhelming. The concepts explored in this collection has improved my open guard immediately. There are some that are taking me more time to implement, because I must drill and practice the movements. But I am confident that these concepts will make me better, quicker.
This video gives you an over arching concept of the guard. This has helped me implement and use different guards.
Very good explanation of guard retention. Slightly wordy in times.
This is my first purchase from BJJfanatics and I am extremely happy with the product. The advertisement promised a lot and they 100% delivered. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and there's more than enough content. Completely satisfied with my purchase.
All of Priit's stuff is on another level! This is not your typical BJJ instructional. Priit gives you the blue print to grappling. You can go everywhere from here with greater succsess as you will understand what's the game is all about.
