Perfect deep half instruction
Jeff is a great instructor/teacher for deep half guard. The stragic system that he has in deep half guard is mind blowing. After watching this DVD I have high percentage of winning half guard/ deep half battles. +great values

If you like to play deep half guard, this is just great. The way Jeff explains is super easy to understand and focuses on the concepts that make his system work. Definitely enjoyed and helped me getting out from difficult positions with unexpected sweeps 😎

Jeff rocks! I'm shorter than most of the guys in my gym, and I found this to work really well. Even with the most basic understanding of this material, I've been more capable of improving my position.

Lucky enough to have attended several seminars with Jeff at Bay Jiu Jitsu in SF. I never really got much out of most seminars, but Jeff did something different: He often focused on one position with easy ways to get there and a few simple moves from the position. This dvd is no different. It's not 48 moves from 12 different positions. It's clear, concise, and clever. It's something you can watch and put into practice pretty quickly. I think Jeff is an incredible teacher and competitor which is rare in this sport. Buy this if you want to improve your deep half. No hesitation.

This is the clearest instructional I’ve ever seen. It’s tight concise and all the elements presented are tightly connected. Some instructional are clear and encyclopedic but Jeff has connected the dots between moves in a very tight way that makes super easy to absorb. Is it effective and easy? I saw dividends after the first roll. I have his previous DHG DVD and it’s as if he stripped it down to the most effective elements - weaves them together into a tight concise system. This is one of my favorites ever. I can’t wait for his omoplata, escapes, and triangle instructionals.

I really love this instructional. Jeff explains the deep half very well and gives easy to implement concepts, like the favorite uncle grip. I have already had success with the sweeps in my rolls and can't wait to improve this position even more. I also do not mind bottom mount as much anymore with Jeff showing how to get to deep half from there. Definitely worth the purchase.

I previously had no idea what a deep half guard really consisted of. I was tempted to buy Jeff's old deep half instructional that you can find out there, but I heard he had since updated some things, and would be releasing a version 2.0 on this site. Glad I waited. Jeff does a great job of simplifying this system and breaking things down so even a small child could understand it. You can tell he's been teaching this stuff for a long time. I watched the whole thing in one sitting and honestly feel like I could pull some of it off in rolling already. Of course, I'll need to drill it a bit. Looking forward to the rest of his releases as well!

There are only 3 sweeps, but with the entries to the technique and the Details you get a perfekt gameplay to the Deep half guard that works perfektly.

Jeff’s deep half system is the guard the got me from purple to brown belt. I did a 3-day seminar with him in 2015, and this new instructional is a great way to see the material condensed into a simple and easy to follow reference guide. The lessons have also been even more streamlined and improved in the last few years. In a time where the overall game is getting more and more complex, this deep half system is a great and simple way to sweep everyone. The best part is that it makes your training partners and opponents feel like they swept themselves. 5 stars! I know the system and didn’t hesitate to buy it. Jeff Glover’s been giving to our community with awesome instructionals for over a decade. They’re only getting better too!

Jeff Glover is one of the most entertaining grapplers of all time and besides that he is also an excellent teacher. This particular instructional is proving it without any doubt. First of all - it's relatively short but packed up with useful stuff that is usable from day 1. You might feel that it's too short but actually you're getting complete system in a 90mins of video. Sweeps are highly efficient and high percentage, but what makes this instructional really stand out are deep half entries and troubleshooting. I pulled off some of those right away after watching it, and with time it's of course getting more refined and applicable. For all you half guarders out there - buy this one and you won't be disappointed. PS: unfortunately the section "Drills" is missing "Single leg drill" (both downloadable file and embedded video). The naming goes wrong with "Around the world" drill and it continues wrongly, but that's a details that doesn't impact my rate - which is 5 stars.

I would highly recommend this to anyone. The Pipe Layers Concepts are second to none.
An Effective Deep Half System!
This was a must buy for me! I attended one of Jeff's deep half seminars a little while back and his deep half system changed my game. He is an amazing instructor that breaks his deep half guard down so that it is simple to learn and apply. That being said this instructional did not disappoint. It reinforced what I had learned from him, and allowed me to see some of the fine details I had missed (and paid for on the mats lol). This is a great instructional on deep half guard!

The Pipelayer is bringing the knowledge with this one. Deep half taught very effectively. Glover has an excellent teaching style that makes this deep half guard system easy to remember and is simple to approach. Really can’t wait to try this system out for myself and the way Glover teaches will make it quick to implement I believe.
