Excellent teaching style. Details you needs to make top side control a dominant position
A good encyclopedia of the position. I’ve been using this for years.
Excellent and complete tutorial of the Side Control position. This tutorial helps you identify weaknesses in your game and teaches you the most effective way to perform moves.
There is a ton of Information. This is not good if you just want quick fixes, but it is awesome if you want to take a step back to build solid control.
Great instructional on side control. There are lots of details here that will help you to better maintain side control while hunting submissions.
The best side control tutorial i have ever watched, very technical, a lot of great concepts to apply pressure and isolate limbs to submit.
These concepts Whittier covers seem like the things everyone needs to know but would take up too much time in an average class with beginner to intermediate students. So if you want to understand the why's of jiujitsu and save yourself the years of frustration it would take to figure these things out on your own then buy these courses and you won't regret it. I highly recommend this course.
Great details!
This is the best course on side control and it doesn't cost nearly as much as the more famous examples. I'm a huge fan of SBG courses and Whittier delivers key fundamentals to truly understand side control and get really good at it.
i've had this video for a year and I go back to it consistently excellent details excellent mechanics explained.
Great Instructional. One of the few that focus on side control.
This is a great video to mastery of side control
This is the most exhaustive study of side control out there. Professor Whittier is an encyclopedia of art. I can’t recommend it enough.
-Good info, but the video content layout is not the best. You cannot skip and review the chapters. Other than that, I would recommend.
Stephen details in this DVD one of my fav positions, if you are side control player, this dvd is a must
Great side control system which includes control, maintenance and submissions. It’s basically like your in one of his classes. I mean for the price it’s a steal. Highly recommended
Prof Stephen is a really conceptual and elaborative about his explanations about the techniques he shows. If you pay attention and listen carefully, I think it will make a huge difference in your side game.
I loved watching this set, beneficial to all without exception. Most of us who admit to being slow learners understand and are grateful for resources that BJJFANATICS has supplied. I've splurged on their dvds abundantly since the start of covid, like others I'm sure but the point of me telling you this is that of all the people, this guy understands me: Stephen Whittier. A superb orator and conveyor of position and technique highlighting key areas of common fault and possible improvement, it's unlikely there isn't anyone who couldn't benefit. With more out-of-reach tutorials unavailable to me, I found this a great resource to examine pins, more specifically side control. As an alternative yet much more thorough set on (one type of) pin, you cannot go wrong. I understand why many are inclined towards Danaher, especially the new Dynamic Pins collection with his theoretical and technical analyses but Prof. Whittier offers so much insight into this position it's an easy equal. Now I know it lacks the range of information and positions that Danaher offers, but it's definitely worth a shot and this improved my control exponentially. As an over 40, later starter, non athlete I know that Prof Whittier is approaching his classes with me in mind, or that's certainly how I felt. That's not to say there's no value to anyone else, on the contrary this set is amazing and I've already gone on to other 'pin' variations he offers such as Mount and I'm waiting to purchase the Knee on Belly series. Pillars are an invaluable resource for all levels.
Professor Whittier’s series is very thorough and fills in all the gaps for side control. If there is an area of your game that is lacking and Professor Whittier has a series in it, get it and it will now be a solid part of your game. By saying he is the poor man’s Danaher, I mean it as a great compliment.
As Alway's, Mr Whittier breaks down the 'Complete' Side Control Game. All Offense/Defence are clearly & systematically put together, so that no-matter where you end up, there are clear and defined routes to the finish. I've never been dissatisfied with ANY of Stephen's product's and i've been around Bjj/Mma since the it's inception. Genuinely Thankfull :slightly_smiling::call_me_hand:
