Simple and easy to understand and pick up
Good turtle techniques straight from the turtle guard master. Straight concise and to the point with no fluff.
It was a very satisfying lecture.
This is a great overview of some of the turtle concepts, sweeps, and reversals from turtle. It is a good supplement to Eduardo Telles instructional on turtle and octopus guard. And it is good along with Neil Melanson's "Tactical Turtle". This instructional gives you some ideas for sweeps and transitions to and through turtle and lets you show your back to your opponent on your own terms.
Here the turtleguard master shows us how he plays his turtle game. its actually very simple and effective. if u have some love for the turtle have a look here.
Amazing instructional from the king of the turtle. Will most certainly help you master this difficult position!
Really help me improve in techniques I knew but didn't know the smaller details
Great supplement
I think the steam roll technique is worth the price of admission. I do wish there was more of an expansive overview of turtle but what is here is good and applicable.
I should have gotten this instructional years ago! Eduardo's unorthodox style is very efficient and shows many ways to use turtle that just isn't really taught. This is a must have! Unlock turtle power!
I like the extra details he explains with techniques and ideas you should have
Could have used this back in my younger days when I was slowed down due to injuries. Some people viewed the turtle as a "bad" position to be caught in. It something that happens to even the best.
One of my favorite BJJ practitioners. It's always great to see what he does and why he does it. I wish this video has more content.
Some neat reversals I've never seen anywhere else!
This turtle instructional has given my a new outlook on using this particular position to sweep more. The professor shows these techniques in a simple way to understand the concepts an retain the information.
This is best lecture!
Very good info relating to turtle position and varied was to use. Can use turtle for many things, setting up sweeps or other attacks. Well worth it.
All jiu jitsu players should improve turtle guard skills not to be passed, and taken back control by the opponent. This video is the best for the turtle guard beginners. Watch it and you'll become a skillful turtle in your gym.
Professor Telles shows the versatility of the turtle position. He shows a solid game plan to keep your back safe while transitioning out of turtle and be offensive at the same time, which makes turtle guard a fun position to play. Thanks Professor for the knowledge :call_me_hand:
All the reviews at the time of writing this review focus on the turtle guard content, but there is much more including: a side control escape; teaching how to defend the back plus multiple techniques to escape back control effectively and efficiently; how to setup an ankle pick from open guard and from standing; and a series of submission entries for the kimura. Turtle guard coverage includes movement, multiple sweeps, avoiding submissions (i.e., clock choke, crucifix, front headlock and loop choke); entering submissions from the turtle position (e.g., turtle-plata); and the final chapter of the second volume is a brief summary of the core turtle guard techniques. Eduardo Telles is easy to understand, he speaks in a deliberate and knowledgeable manner. The demonstrations are clear and easy to understand. He engages with the audience and for me this made it more enjoyable to watch (e.g., positive interactions with his uke). The instructional has been filmed with a fixed camera. The quality of the video is good, as is the range (perfect) and there are no notable issues with the microphone. The available previews are consistent with the whole instructional. In my opinion the knowledge gained from viewing and studying this instructional will be used regularly in rolling, particularly if you are rolling with a larger or more mobile opponent. It is truly an important instructional to add to your library and represents good value. This is two volume instructional and has a total runtime of 1 hour and 18 minutes.
Just ordered and already drilling and implementing into my game.
This is a really unique series that will help everyone become better at the turtle position.
This is great video! Being able to mount an offense from turtle is a game changer!
Eduardo Telles' Turtle Game not only changed my guard retention but provides option to generate reversals and even submissions from a seemingly difficult position. What I loved the most is Eduardo's approach. He's so chill and doesn't overcomplicate the position, but he still highlights the most crucial details.
Turtle guard from a proven master of the position. Built my confidence defending and reversing the position.
