As a new white belt learning these basics have been critical to my survival in Jiujitsu. I reference this video routinely for deeper understanding and technique.
Provides a lot of good insight
great iinstruction from Professor Danaher. I already used one of his techniques to prevent a choke I usually got caught with before.
A must for all Jiujiteros of every belt level. Fundamentals are always the base of any technique instructed and applied throughout our training. Coach Zahabi is clear and concise throughout this instructional, and very well produced. Thank you BJJFanatics!!!
amazing
this one is extremely comprehensive and captivating, giving the impression that you are sitting there while a college professor explains mechanics. The lighting and camera angles are excellent, and the overall teaching quality will help the game for older players advance.
Systematic approach. Easy to follow. Years worth of information. Just what I need after a knee surgery is slowing me down (even more than usual)
Practical realistic methods/philosophy for youth challenged grapplers. Also demonstrates the defense aspects of Jiu-Jitsu.
Mostly fundamental techniques, but presented in a way that works well for the 40+ practitioner.
As an older grappler at an MMA gym this series is invaluable to me. Working to slow down those younger athletes is a chore. Prof John does what he typically does and explains everything in exhausting detail. Love it!
Outstanding content! At age 69 this video is my go to for improving my bottom game and escapes. If I could only keep and work from one BJJ Fanatics instructional, this would be the one!
I really like how John Danaher gives you techniques that enables you to move slowly from the ground in this course video, I can't wait to have all these mechanics memorized with ageless top game.
great stuff even with all my issues
J. Danaher empowers us 50 year olds and up with timeless principles to keep our younger more athletic opponents at bay. Use that isometric strength to slow their mobility down, let them exhaust themselves then launch your counter attack. Its so much fun to surprise the young ones and JD shows you how!
Perfect instructions for my age! Love how he breaks it down in simple pieces.
This Ageless series is invaluable...as we all want to keep rolling as long as possible. Thank you John!
good
Effective and Useful Techniques! Thanks for wonderful instructional
great content. gave me better understanding of the positions and other concepts.
As usual the details are extremely useful and practical.
5 stars with the great John Danaher!
Definitly recommend this video for those ,like myself, who is getting older and slower. Also, it's helpful for someone like myself who is smaller than most and serves a reminder that technique is key. I'll definitely want to get the other videos from Danaher's Ageless series
The content in this instructional has greatly accelerated my Jui Jitsu journey. The more I train the more relevant each and every part becomes. I fall into the "older or less athletic" catagory and and this video delivers
Uses theory . Doesn't merely show moves. Gives information from both opponents perspective. Plan B for everything.
A great place to start the journey. I loved the sections about leaving the keys to basic defense and escaping bad pins. It helped me right away.
