John is a legend. His instructionals are top-notch. With this instructional you can slow down and even simplify the bottom game. Absolutely great.
It is great to see something for veterans. I start learning to use my advantages against speed and age. The instructions keep every info clear, easy to learn and effective. What can I say, I highly reccomend it..
Awesome stuff !!!
John Danaher's series continue to prove their superiority in developing jiu jitsu athletes. In the case of this series, older or more athletically compromised athletes
Excellent bottom game from half guard for slower/older people
Its a downscale of Half-guard- but being older myself - in this course Danaher really impresses the way he put together things. You follow the course just as you practice - and add-on techniques and understanding of positions as you go on.. its really very well and simple presented. Videos not too long and down to the point with good explanation I think any person wanting to learn half-guard can benefit this as a "core". Not only older. Later - When you get older you already established the systematic way he shows. I could take the instructions right out to the mat and it really worked. I think the way the techniques are presented in a linear and very good way made this course one of the best i seen. A must for all older, stiffer or less athletic or less stronger. And those preparing for older days...This video is a gem for you. The survival tips - on how to survive pins - are really good and worked instantly. Best survival strategies i have encountered.. This video made me even more inspired about BJJ. Priceless video . More than highly recommended.
Fantastic details as always!
Knowledgeable and concise instruction
He taught me simple is best.
Danaher has such a mastery of Jiu-Jitsu and has a gift of delivering succinct instruction while informing the viewer not just what to do, but why the movement matters. Each of his videos are thoroughly structured in a progressive manner. This series focuses on moves that require minimal strength and athleticism. Even though this series is geared toward the older practitioner, this thought process should be developed early on so that athletes can continue their game into their golden years. Thanks for all of the information, like always, John!!!
Great John. I need this. Terrific video techniques . I enjoy this approach of ageless BJJ
Danaher is always reliable. Forget about professor. He is the president.
Just starting out. Good information for me to start with. Will probably take a while before I can apply it.
Great!
Danahers instructions always improve my technique.
A large part of this video is a slowed down version of Danaher's Half Guard system. "Slowed down" is what you need when you get to a certain age. It's just as effective but it takes into consideration that the student/viewer isn't a twenty-one year old athlete. Another great section is about surviving pins. Not escaping, surviving. Great stuff to keep in mind when you're getting smashed.
Like all Danaher instructionals this is in-depth and a complete view on efficiency when you have limitations in your game. Some great insights. Recommended for everyone over 35.
As fantastic as ever! There is nobody better to explain how things are working!
Excellent, John has provided clear and concise strategy and tactics on how to survive and frustrate younger and faster opponents. My attitude to being on the bottom has changed completely.
After almost twenty years of being out of shape I found BJJ and finally got back to it but other students were continuously outperforming me and putting me to shame during rounds. This helped me accept where I'm at and equipped me with the perspectives and technique needed to step up my game.
Definitely translates to the mat. Of course, nothing is ever as easy as it looks in videos, but this series gives you great concepts and techniques that you can work on immediately during your rolls. The more tools you can use the better, and this series has really given me some good basics that I can use m, and tweak as I see fit
If it's for older or less athletic = better techniques for everyone!
after messing up knees this instructional really helps me with my game
Minor details that changed my quarter guard for the better! Very detailed and easy to follow instructions by Danaher :call_me_hand:
As always…..Danaher gives you details and strategies. Love it.
