Filthy!
I have wanted to try a Neil Melanson Course for a while. I don't use the cradle position so I figured this material would be all new to me and a great start !! The video is well shot with multiple angles, the sound is clear and Professor Melanson is easy to understand and has a good teaching style I am trying to incorporate the chokes taught in Volume 1, into my game and then go from there I will definitely be purchasing another one of his courses when I am done with this one
As a former wrestler, I loved the cradle and have seen it a lot in practice, but was unsure where to go from there. This video really opened up my game. Highly recommend.
After watching this instructional through once, I was able to enter the cradle 4 times when rolling and even against 2 purple belts! I tried some attacks, but couldn't remember all the finishing mechanics, so I am now rewatching for the specific attacks I want to use, starting with the butcher shop and back take! Awesome instructional, can recommend using this underused position in your BJJ game!
great
Neil is a know-it-all on subjects most BJJ and wrestling guys never even begin to ponder. I've always loved cradles for control, slowly guys down, passing, and sometimes submitting. Neil has shown me the light. I was unaware of most of these submission set-ups from various cradle positions. I'm super hyped to work these into my game!
Fantastic stuff, really has improved my game and given me tools to dominate guys that I would normally struggle with.
In this video you learn such specific adjustments - it's really helped my application of the techniques
I fell in love with the cradle after studying this video. If guard passing is like the main road with a traffic jam, cradles are a dark side alley where you are Batman. ,D Neil has become my adored mentor without him even knowing it.
This is probably my favorite instructional I have. Easy to follow and actually has some personality. The techniques are amazing as well!
Great deep study of Cradle Concept. Highly reccommended.
Using These cradle techniques while training make me feel a little guilty. Most folks arent expecting these approaches. I respect Mr Melanson alot. His videos have changed my game. I look to buy more of his instructionals.
Complete game changer for your top game. I utilize the cradle often but mostly for control. This series shows you how to control your opponent, break them mentally and finally put them out of their misery. Wish I could give it more stars.
Very good and unique techniques
It was my first time learning Cradle, but it was a very effective technique!
After watching this, I have now incorporated cradles into my game and have had great success.
This is by far some of the best money I ever spent! Neil goes into so much details around the finishes associated with the cradle position that it is like getting several instructionals for one price! Highly recommend!
This video has greatly improved my understanding of using the cradle to set up submissions and advance my position. Could not recommend more!
Melanson is an excellent teacher! These techniques are mean and I love them! Thank you!
Very helpful overveiw of a position I didn't have a lot of familiarity with because I started with BJJ not wrestling. Would recommend for sure.
Great mix of wrestling and Jiu Jitsu. Neil brings slight modifications to basic submissions that make them more effective.
I can't say enough good things about this video. Since watching it I have been able to grab cradles from everywhere. Maybe more importantly, Neil has a way of showing you how to see the possibilities in a position that you might go years without seeing The techniques here are great but so is Neil's ability to open your eyes to an expanded grappling game. I also enjoy and learn a lot from the stories Neil tells throughout the video. You may not, so keep that in mind.
Again a great video from Melanson.
Coming in to Bjj with a wrestling background, I frequently found myself using cradles. For me it was to slow the pace and cook my partner a little bit before risking a transition. This was one of the first fanatics videos I ever bought and I've used it ever since. Neil makes the cradle dangerous and filthy-an absolutely worthwhile knowledge set for your game!
The amount of knowledge that Coach Melanson drops just every few minutes is staggering. I have been able to use this principles every time I learn one. I am very normal size guy, so when he says you don’t have to be a giant like him, it’s true. Definitely get this instructional.
