All of Neil's stuff is legit, pick this one up or be left behind
Cradles are severely underutilized in bjj. Neil adapts their use for bjj and everyone in your gym will dread being put in one if you learn his system. Check it out! Dudes content is awesome, check out his other stuff. Goonjitsu to the max and worth every penny.
Loads of information in great detail and delivered in a easy to follow manner
This series has already taken my game to the next level with all the stuff in the videos. Game changer!!!!
Another great instructional by Neil Melanson. Love his style of conveying the information, while keeping it engaging and funny. Gives you all kinds of options from a seemingly underused position to help give you the edge.
I bought this because I love all of his other videos, but I wasn't sure how much I was going to take from this. It's actually full of great techniques and I find myself in this position all the time. It was definitely a good purchase.
The cradle has changed my whole game, and I haven’t even mastered all the techniques in the instructional. I cannnot recommend this purchase enough
I am a active duty army soldier that's been training for around 6 months. No prior martial arts training besides army combatives level one and two. During level two, I found myself attempting cradles, getting them and then being lost with how to capitalize while having it. Once I noticed how easily I was getting them I needed to learn more. Neils instructionals have changed my grappling game more in a month then all of the army combatives combined. Thank you for your insight. I will continue purchase to your material and study and implement all of your "filthy" knowledge.
Another awesome instructional from Melanson. Loving the cradle series, but not sure my training partners are...
very good instructional love it
This is an excellent series of techniques to incorporate into your game
Smart moves for people who do not wish to waste energy. Similarly to Neil I never learnt wrestling as per say but bits and pieces through mma. Cradles are one of those parts and something I am enjoying applying now in Japan. Cradles are a topic I never hear bjj teachers teach. Definitely needed.
Great instructional on a uncommon position… and with the best teacher available
if you have trouble of passing a half guard, cradle the bottom guy with cradle, start attacking and not to worry passing half guard. you'll find your game suddenly level up. this set of DVDs are highly recommended.
Your training partners will be hit with filthy cradles and the subs the cradle leads to that they just won’t see coming!
This is the definitive guide on how to effectively use the cradle in BJJ. Neil is my favorite coach right now, teaches you efficiently while making you laugh at the same time. Incredibly high value for the money, this DVD has no reason being as cheap as it is for how applicable and vast its contents are. However, the DVD was structured and organized in a way that was sort of difficult to follow. Different options from the same few position are scattered in different sections, instruction on entries to the position aren't grouped together; the information is there but you will have to skip around which can get tedious given the size of the instructional. Smaller note, but the whole package is riddled with typos that would've taken seconds to fix. All the information is high quality and I would recommend it every time, but it could have used some more time being read over and organized.
Hit this cradle all the time, particularly top side , in training. You can tell Neil is an encyclopedia of grappling who’s worked with and learned from old school and new school players. This and his Catch Wrestling Formula are awesome
This video series changed the way I roll for the better. I now frequently use cradles.
Awesome instructional. Coach Neil shows you everything you could want from the cradle position. Practicing these moves and drilling them with partners is awesome. Even as a white belt it gave me something I could do and threaten things with my partners where I normally would go to a different position. There are tons of setups and finishes on this series. Everything by Coach Melanson is awesome that I have purchased so far.
Fantastic and unorthodox. The near side cradle pass to far side cradle is killer.
Next level instructional.
Bjj practitioners often don’t have great defense to cradles. This video is exceptional!
As a wrestler the cradle was one my best moves, finding way to adapt it to BJJ has been really useful. I particularly find the butter fly guard cradle useful it is one of my go tos against open guard.
Everything by Neil is worth watching. I was used to grabbing a cradle in training but usually to stall, now I actually have some techniques to go with the position. Highly recommend
Another Epic instructional from The Godfather of filth. Simple clear instructions. Another awesome thing about this instructional is it pairs well with Neil's catch wrestling formula and off with their head. The transitions are endless and the set ups are numerous. Neil's Melanson has changed my game!
