  Great to see an exploration of Erik's wider knowledge into the arts that can be used for street defence, including defence from knife and weapon attacks. The strikes and grips he uses to block, parry, lock and control the opponent, along with the techniques that turn the attack back against the aggressor, make this tutorial series a well-worth purchase. As always, Erik's instruction doesn't skimp on technique - there's plenty here to get stuck into.

• Great and easy

  Combatives Volume is evenually packed with practical techniques that make you wonder why you’ve been doing things the hard way. I do not agree with all knife-/Machete approach, though. Erik Paulson somehow makes complicated concepts feel simple—and occasionally makes your training partners question their life choices. Fun, effective, motivating to give you plenty of “I have to try that!” moments.

• Very thorough and easy to implement instructional

  I started martial arts solely to learn self defense skills and this instructional was excellent. It gives a variety of techniques to implement the concepts and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in self defense.

  This video series is beyond exceptional! The content and the way it builds on each principle is ideal for any type of training even if you are a competitor. Most of all there are many tactics geared toward the street and self defense that is outstanding. I teach women's self defense and will incorporate many concepts into our curriculum. Erik Paulson is a wealth of knowledge and works in comedy and humor as well. To get so much from an MMA legend at a wonderful price is worth every penny. Get any of his instructional videos and you will be happy. Thank you for putting this content out. I will continue to study, learn, and implement it. If I could give 6 starts out of 5 I would.
