Great information
I really love this instructional because it breaks down jiu jitsu into concepts that really help you to find a place in your mind to group, analyse, organise and understand the multitude of techniques that you will ultimately learn on your journey. Chris' style is clear, to the point and accessible and he undestands what a confused student might want and need to know, and gives you the solutions of HOW to think about and conceive the dilemas you will face on the matsw. Serioulsy, this is an instructional for all belts, and I will be coming back to this again and again. So so glad I bought this.

G A Great information
A great all round instructional for fundamentals
Great, easy to implement and making training partners much better (dad and wife when not at gym)
great approach, very helpful breakdown that complements other approaches.
But also great for advanced to get another perspective.
Amazing!!! Game changing concepts . Chris is an amazing coach
I love Chris' simple way of demystifying BJJ.
Chris is a Priit Mihkelson black belt that has a more conceptual approach to grappling. Excellent instruction and well worth the money.

effective jiujitsu explained
Excellent conceptual content. Gave me a few light bulb moments!
Concepts beat combitions. This an ideal template for skill aquistion
I loved Chris Paines' other video on how to defend everything. This one is just okay. It's a good, unique perspective on learning and it very much avoids technical variations. I just don't know if I agree with it 100%.
Very informative, and a great toolbox for starting out, I think!
Chris Paines definitely listens to taylor swift.
A great video with concepts required to improve your Jiu Jitsu. Very little technique but if you are looking for a video with fundamental concepts that you can apply to your Jiu Jitsu to improve / break through a plateau, this is the one.
As a novice blue belt but an awareness of Priit Mikhaelson's Defensive BJJ ethos, I was very excited to see his U.K. black belt make this instructional. Chris lives an hour away from me in Nottingham and the private materials gained when I visit him are right here, for everyone, at an unbelievably inexpensive price! Learn the "why" of being inside or outside, stop accepting that as a new practitioner your life is to be smashed on the floor, realise that the myth of wrapping someone up in your legs (closed guard) has removed 1/3 of your ability to be effective (the 3 s'), understand that the 3 H's are crucial to winning sparring in your early days and most importantly, why the sport of jiu jitsu is changing fast and the old myths are being dissolved quickly! If you're a new white belt, trust me when I say this instructional will make your life on the mats easier and quicker than anything else available. It is NOT helpful to have people shout "don't let them take your back" to then realise (after you have quit BJJ usually) to understand that coach didn't put you in positions to defend that attack! The Defensive BJJ research project is the most important thing to happen in BJJ since 1993 and the UFC. Get on this train especially if you want to compete - the transformation in your thinking and doing is truly amazing.
Wether you are a beginner or just got a little confused when you get into certain szenarios - you will find a fundamental answer within this course. C. P. is focussing on gross motor details, angels and posture. it is. You get a pathway to overcome technical and mental plateaus to that it is more likely that the journy will stay enjoyable even when you struggle! Highly recommend!!
The most interesting instructional I saw in months! Mind blowing. Just don’t miss it.
Chris Paines is one of the foremost thinkers in BJJ. This instructional goes through some fundamentals concepts for BJJ. There's nothing too complex in this instructional, but learning and applying these concepts will expedite your development by a lot! This was very useful for me.
