There is some good concepts on here that have definitely helped me improve my jiu jitsu.
Complete shift your frame of mind with a focus on the principles behind submissions so you can dismantle them in training
A very good and concise overview of general defence principles instead of specific techniques. I would say the biggest benefit to me as a new white belt is that I can survive for a little longer and rest a bit while rolling, slowing down the roll so that I can pay attention to what is going on. Most of the content can be found on various seminars on YouTube, but here it is presented as a more cohesive whole.
This is a conceptual approach to BJJ. More examples are needed, however.
I wish I had seen this at white or blue belt. These concepts will immediately make you harder to submit. Don’t hesitate to buy this one.
Parfaite mise en application du système de défense de Priit Mihkelson pour le newaza du judo et en bjj pour survivre au sol.
Concise and packed full of valuable insights. More conceptual than technical in the best way. Broad concepts here that will make you better from everywhere.
Chris Paine is a beast of a teacher. Learn the why before you learn the specific techniques. Learn the principles he has to offer and build your game. This is smart jujitsu. I wish he had more videos.
great tips for defence
Enjoyed the theory, but I would have liked more time dedicated to active rolling and demonstration.
10/10 defensive strategies
Great instructional
great concepts and heuristics to preventing attacks and submissions
As a passionate practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I have always held a special appreciation for the art of defense. Recently, I had the opportunity to watch a DVD focused solely on defensive techniques, and I must say, it has been nothing short of excellent. This instructional resource has significantly deepened my understanding of defensive strategies, allowing me to develop a defense that feels almost impenetrable. What I love most about this DVD is its comprehensive approach. It breaks down complex concepts into manageable segments, making it easy to grasp and implement the techniques in my training. The clarity of instruction is outstanding, and the visual demonstrations are incredibly helpful for visual learners like myself. Since incorporating the lessons from this DVD into my practice, I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my overall game. My ability to defend against various attacks has grown exponentially, and I feel more confident rolling with opponents of all skill levels. This newfound confidence not only enhances my defensive capabilities but also allows me to focus on improving other aspects of my Jiu-Jitsu. I wholeheartedly recommend this instructional DVD to anyone looking to elevate their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, the insights and techniques provided will undoubtedly enhance your defensive skills and transform your approach to the mat. Embrace the power of defense and watch your game reach new heights!
Anyone interested in Pritt Mikhelson's principles and positions will find in this instructional a great introduction and material of reference.
a easy watch that really works and neutralises a aggressive opponent absolute class act
As a fan of Pritt, Chris gives a more fast paced/ digestible style of the defensive jiu jitsu concepts. Experience his seminar in person and immediately had to get this instructional after.
Can't wait to see how this works! Interesting stuff.

Awesome tricks to avoid chokes and arm locks!

amazing teacher and the Outlook he gives to compare bjj to other combat sports as a wrestler helped me jump levels in literally hours not days with these basic concepts
It is a very good instructional for the concepts of defending. The concepts can help your game for sure.
I wish I had learned this years ago. This series definitely improved my overall defensive game and has made Jiujitsu more fun.
