I was looking to expand my limited knowledge on wrestling and takedowns and I kept seeing Travis Stevens name pop up, so I went for his instructional and it did not dissipoint. I already felt more comfortable on my feet after watching and implementing the first section of techniques. Great information here.
For those who want to build their takedown toolkit beyond the basics every school teaches, this is an outstanding reaource to make your stand up and takedown game dangerous. Travis is very relatable and explains everything very simply.
This video is a must-watch for anyone looking to take their standup grappling game to the next level. It features Travis Stevens teaching no-gi takedowns, with a focus that is less judo-centric than many other "no-gi judo" instructionals. It's a great resource for anyone looking to improve their no-gi takedowns, and Travis does an excellent job of teaching the material.
World Class instruction!
Travis Stevens' coverage of Judo throws and takedowns for no gi is a wonderful learning tool. The fundamentals are covered in great depth more than just where to grip and where to step. It translates very easily into no gi and I've found my standup game was immediately improved. Great video.
Great details to improve confidence in stand up game if you're in a gym that doesn't do too much of it
great
I enjoyed the basics of wrestling that he added in. And the angle of tipping a person over was very helpful.
Really upgrade my stand-up game! Helped me use my judo background in my bjj game
Got this on a sale, really enjoy it! Especially the works with russian set ups
Not hard to see why Travis is an Olympic Medalist. Need more No-Gi content from him.
If you want to learn some BIG THROWS, this is the one lol. Great breakdown and easy to study!
This video is good for setting up some big throws You get the added benefit that if you know how to move the other guy to set these up you will understand how to move people more generally
Just what I needed
Live it! Easy and works from beginners to the highest of levels.
Has really helped my standing game in no gi. A special mention to Tai Otoshi from both the underhook and the overhook.
Very clear to get you going with no-go takedowns that are judo inspired.
If you have trained judo long enough, you probably know how to do this, you may not know that you know. This video is extremely helpful to those of us that overthink things.
The focus on underhook and overhook attacks is very cool, and I like the secrets for snapping down to a front headlock.
