Best break down on how to control the balance of your opponent
Good
Awesome instructional.
As long as you know what you are getting, this is an absolutely amazing instructional. It has a very narrow focus - specifically covers gripping, off-balancing, and stance but is like a phD level coverage of the topic. Assuming that is what you are looking for, I can't think of anything possibly better
Wicked details
Love the details changing my kumi kata game!
This video is the missing link across takedowns/throws of all styles. Too often the form of a throw is all that is shown, but Stevens breaks down all the little moves necessary to break balance. One of the best videos I have watched. I plan to rewatch it several times.
you can see Travis put heart into this product, which makes the instructional so insightful and fun to watch.
I am loving it so far! It’s helped my grip fighting and kuzushi tremendously. When practicing takedowns before, I struggled with getting the takedowns started. Now, I am more confident in initiating grips and causing off balance. Huge fan of Travis Stevens!
Travis Stevens provides grip control insight not shared in other instructionals. He teaches how to not only control with grips, but also touches on how to negate your opponent's grips. Very helpful
I've purchased a few stand up instructionals now, including from Judo fanatics, but the level of useful details in this one is perfect, it's aimed perfectly at BJJ practitioners with little to no information. Genuinely fantastic with achievable goals for developing an effective stand up game.
good~!~!
Relly helped me understand all the things experienced Judo guys were doing to me in sparring. This is a must buy for anyone learning standup in the gi.
The detail is amazing. All the little things I felt judoka doing to me but never had explained.
Very in depth. I highly recommended for understanding how to learn grips and unbalancing your opponent.
Stevens is an amazing teacher and this instructional is definitely the best I have ever watched.
Travis Stevens is a fantastic teacher and this instructional is simply awesome and amazing for truly learning and understanding stand-up grappling in depth. A real must-have!!
Really good explanation on the mindset of the different arts and the reasons of why they do certain movements. I've just been watching while I'm working on rehabbing a shoulder injury, but I feel like this instructional made a few things click together in my head on why certain things weren't working for me. Can't wait to get back and start implementing it into my game.
This really helped me pull together my takedowns. Travis Stevens is excellent at explaining what is going on with all this.
There are a lot of details in these videos. Very good cost/quality relationship.
great
Travis is the man! So good at delivering the information.
He walks you through what he is thinking when he sees certain situations. Really helpful
When I decided to be well rounded and stop pulling guard, I went in search of instructionals that could help me with the basics. The problem is most focus on the takedown or throwing technique. That's fine if you have some foundational knowledge. But I was starting from scratch and this set from Travis was exactly what I needed to learn how to move myself and my partner, how to grip, how to treat RvR and RvL etc. I started Judo 6 months after practicing the contents in here and found myself to not be so lost!
Fantastic
