Travis does a wonderful job starting with the fundamentals and then expanding upon them while giving training strategies. I know I will use a lot of what he says moving forward and will re-watch many of the sections more than once.
Great instructions, seamless order, meticulous detail and clarity on transitions
The approach that Travis takes is a well rounded introduction into what will be worked in the course. the instruction is well executed and easy to understand and flows from one technique to the next the selection is great for all stand up grappling nogi wrestling with his background in judo and bjj it all transition from one to another well.
Travis is an awesome teacher, I like how he is able to concisely explain all his experiences as an Olympic Judoka and convert that to the No-Gi Realm. This instructional has made me think of how we can apply different techniques into a practical/functional MMA game.
If your like me and your bjj dojo has only recently emphasized the standing game this is a great way to learn how to manipulate your opponent using your shoulders, hips and legs. I would recommend this and its companion peace on judo fanatic's "The Ultimate Takedown Series Volume 1: Gripping & Kuzushi by Travis Stevens"
Great and worth the buy
Great systematic approach to Russian Tie and Underhook series. I personally use the Uchi Mata/Trip combo frequently. Great for wrestlers who don’t like doing *********** steps anymore!
Travis is a great instructor and breaks down these no gi takedown techniques and concepts incredibly well. Well worth the purchase!
Great no-gi take downs. Very good instructions. Well worth the money if your looking for take downs to improve your Jiu-Jitsu.
My dad and I just got done watching this and loved it! My dad is a black belt in Judo and I'm a green belt. We were looking into how to use are Judo without the Gi and this instructional answered all our questions. Travis is a fantastic instructor. He was able to translate to the Judo principles over to No Gi in a clear, concise, and condensed manner! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve their Judo for No gi! Or to anyone that wants to learn some good attacks for wrestling in general!
