I really appreciate the detailed explanations and keys to each step shown.
An interesting alternative for nogi
I bought this as I'd started judo recently to supplement my BJJ. this shows throws and sweeps that most people won't learn in NoGi, which is largely based on wrestling and leg grabs. I think this video is good if you already know some judo concepts and techniques. However, it is really useful to know this style
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Great for beginners
Let me start this review saying that I mostly train BJJ and that my stand-up game was bad only few months ago. I started training judo to rectify this problem and I have already noticed progress. Everyone can improve, all it takes is practice. Now, on to the review: The techniques shown in this video are simple and easy to understand. They are basic, but very effective. It’s something you can take and immediately start working on. This video is great for those who have no takedown skills and want to start somewhere. I can attest to the effectiveness of tai otoshi, ouchi gari, and osoto gari - these are my highest percentage moves both in bjj and judo. I bought this video since it was on discount and I always seek for extra knowledge. Even though I was already familiar with some of the techniques, the DVD was still worth the purchase because it’s relevant to nogi. In 52 minutes, for the price you’re paying, you get more than enough material to improve your takedown game, especially if you’re a beginner. Rick Hawn speaks clearly, straight to the point, so these 52 minutes will fly by quickly.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Essential viewing and one of the best values at BJJfanatics
Hawn focuses on a handful of easy throws that will not leave you exposed in a BJJ context. More importantly, he demonstrates how to chain these throws together. There is no fat on this video, It is short and to the point.

Awesome
Excellent details on set ups and unbalancing. This will help improve your standup game immensely.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A Great Deal
This treatise gives you a neat set of no-gi takedowns that are easy to learn and easy to pull off under real conditions with a modicum of practice. At the current price, it's a real bargain.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:You Can't Beat the Price
With the major discount in place, this one's hard to pass up. You get a neat seat of easy-to-understand, easy-to-use and therefore effective techniques.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:No Gi Takedowns is by far one of the best
No Gi Takedowns is by far one of the best sources of techniques for takedowns, even if you are not able to apply precisely what you learn, at least you will get the concepts of no gi takedowns from Judoka
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Should mention it's judo focused
Good content, would like a bit more of it. Worth the money.
Not all throws created equal!
Circling/kuzushi (off-balancing) details are great. Some throws work better than others. The footsweeps are the highest percentage and lowest risk, although not as pretty as the hip and hand throws. Tai-toshi details are good, but be cognizant of leg length since long legs are just anatomically better for that throw. A good substitute is the uchimata paired with some leg sweeps. All in all, this is a good (kinda short) instructional. It's not comprehensive, but for introducing takedowns to your game, this will be a great starting guide. Remember, relax during throws and setups.

Useful
Been doing no gi for over a year now. Found myself more interested in throws instead of shots. Found this useful
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Well set up and easy
Well set up and easy to work with. Im not very experienced with take downs and this is exactly what i was looking for.
Excellent
After watching Rick Hawn hit an ippon seoi nage in mma, I knew he was one to keep an eye on. This instructional does not disappoint.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great Judo refresher for nogi and mma!
classic, high percentage judo techniques applied to nogi. Short and sweet, all of it highly useful, and good guidance on solid judo mechanics.

nice instructions
Bang for your Buck
Lots of nogi judo takedowns in this video. Was able to pull some off this past week after watching this instructional! Initially, I had a really tough time pulling these moves off, but once I started focusing on trying to set up the throws and off-balancing my partners, the throws and trips became much easier! Definitely not easy to implement right away. You don't master Takedowns overnight but this is a solid instructional and has helped me improve!
Response from BJJ FanaticsKeep drilling and working hard! :hugging:Lots of Value!
A much needed program on utilizing judo throws for no-gi! Liked the modified Osoto-Gari in particular.
