New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Open Guard vol 2: Sweeps and Reversals by John Danaher
Very detailed breakdown of open guard positions, entries and situations. The additional detail helped me improve positions that I often used in my game and allowed me to develop more options from those positions.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:The Leg Lock Arsenal by Gokor Ambaryan
The Leg Lock Arsenal by Gokor Ambaryan
My husband and I both believe that Gokor Ambaryan has the best leglocks in the game. Call us biased, but buy the DVD and you’ll find out why his system is top tier. If you would like to level up your leglock game, I implore you to have this instructional in your library. I promise your leg lock game will become astronomically better, and in turn will open up so much more options for you.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Guard retention plus
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
Being able to comfortably assess escape from less than optimal scenarios and still being able to provide an offensive pressure is exactly the mind state I was looking for.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Submissions Escapes by John Danaher
I have no official gym, but I have different circles of friends from rival gyms. I definitely surprised a lot of different practitioners of different ranks with what I learned from here.

The Grilled Chicken Guard Retention System by Priit Mihkelson
This is a great conceptual instructional, principles-based and simpler to apply than a series of techniques. Priit's approach and teaching style really resonate with me, this is stuff you can begin to incorporate right away.

Leg Lock Anthology: 50/50 by Lachlan Giles
My first leg lock dvd I purchased over two years ago. I have went back to this dvd several time in the last two years, it’s turned me from someone who use to disengage from all leg locks situation to some who actively invites them and hits them in competition. Lachlan’s approach to teaching is very seamless and gives information that’s easy to digest and implement.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Excellent
American Judo System: Ippon Seio Nage Encyclopedia by Jimmy Pedro & Travis Stevens
Really clearcut instruction on ippon seoinage
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Best presentation of content
Guard Retention Anthology Bundle by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
Locky is among the very best instructors on BJJ Fanatics - what sets his instructionals apart is their organization. In my opinion, his are the very best at delivering the content from the screen to your brain and body. The presentation is pragmatic and efficient on a level that I have yet to find elsewhere.

Systematically Attacking the Turtle Position by Gordon Ryan
What I love about Gordon’s instructionals is that he always tells you what we should be doing first off of our opponents reactions and then funnel their reaction in such a way that they can only do so much. Game changer. Control first then get to the back

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Submissions Escapes by John Danaher
If you buy Danaher, you can't go wrong. This treatise contains the depth, clarity and thoroughness that we have come to expect from John Danaher. Study and practice these concepts and techniques, and you will become an extremely tough nut to crack.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Useful approach, helps against Sweeps too
Leglock Prevention by Bjorn Friedrich
The Problem with Late Stage Leglock-Escapes is: Everybody knows them and calculates them into a Attack-Chain. For Example, Standard Heelhook-Defence often opens up a Footlock and so on. So the second or third Attack will come through. Bjorn focusses on shutting down the Entry-Positions themselves. So the Attack-Chain can never start.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Various Aspects of Escaping Mount
The Full Mount Escape Plan by Andre Galvao
I like that he mentioned and showed certain bridging movements to deal with striking. I'm glad it mentioned the self-defense aspect of surviving. Other than that, it goes over various escapes for different positions you may find yourself in and what to avoid doing to prevent undesirable results. It goes over quite a few escapes. I may watch it again, in order to get a better grasp over the material. I felt his instruction was concise. Near the end, he goes over ways to prevent submissions your opponent may try, and details in application of what you are doing to avoid trouble.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Cradle innovation
The Blackout Hybrid Pin and Cradle System by David Petrone
Highly recommended! With the influence of wrestling on no-gi grappling and BJJ, at some point you’ll want to look into the cradle. It’s a great position to set up passes and submissions from, and Dave Petrone is one of the best at it. This DVD is full of innovative sequences and series that will not only help you control and pass guards, but also set up submissions. I am already using some of the techniques in live training. Get this one, or get caught… (Also make sure to check out the gi version, it’s great as well)
