New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
There's something extraordinary about John Danaher and he's way of teaching BJJ. When I watch other bjj practitioners' courses I often get a bit bored after 10 minutes of watching. That's not the case with John's material. Even though one volume takes an hour and a half, I loose track of time. He's the best teacher of bjj of all time.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Fundamentals of a Jiu Jitsu Renegade by Kurt Osiander
Fundamentals of a Jiu Jitsu Renegade by Kurt Osiander
OMG! LOL! Osiander is a battle scarred, old school, politically incorrect, toxic male. I feel pain just watching him move but he has so much charisma I can't stop. I love these instructionals and his uke Julio does a fine job. I wish Kurt the best and he hope recovers soon!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great extension to the GFF escapes
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
Really detailed and enjoyable. Ties in well with the GFF escapes which I spent several months working through. This course will likely take me more time to develop the skills it demonstrates than the GFF course. That being said, having watched through it I have no doubt that it will be worth the time. Both escapes courses by Danaher have led to significant improvements in my game.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No Gi Guard Passing by John Danaher
Highly recommend this for any level jiu jitsu practitioner as it provides a phenomenal breakdown of the fundamentals of passing while also providing intricate details that can make the difference at high levels. Personally, half butterfly passing really stuck out as a quick and easy improvement to my passing
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Enter Your New System
Enter The System Bundle by John Danaher
Enter the System is fanatic! The John explain technique immediately connects with me, I have a sense of kinaesthetic connection while watching his instructions. It has vastly improved my techniques, Kimura, Front Headlock, Leg Attacks, Back Attack, Arm Bar, but mostly Triangle which I had pretty much given up on. Now Triangles are possibly the strongest part of my game. From worst to best!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Good to start your bjj journey

I Got Your Back: Back Takes And Finishes From Everywhere by Matheus Gonzaga
I remembered Matheus as the uke from some of John Danaher's instructionals and I was willing to give this a shot... WOW it did not disappoint. It gave me new techniques and strategy to try out in my next class. I've been having so much more success with getting to the back and controlling from the position. He is a great teacher. Oss

Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John's students have said that the basis for their success is their belief in their defense and escapes. Watching this makes it clear why. John's instructions are clear and detailed. He also gives mutilple options for just about every position covered. There were a couple volumes that felt like information was being repeated almost verbatim and I wish a couple more positions had been covered but otherwise I don't have anything bad to say. It's worth investing in.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Another great one
The Mount Attack Encyclopedia by Bernardo Faria
Another great one from Bernardo, full of good information. Surprisingly, mount felt like one of my weakest positions and always caused me to stall and take too long to think before acting. This video is foll of solid information that's going to improve my game a lot.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Slide and sclice
The Daisy Fresh Knee Slice by Andrew Wiltse
First off it's for free. Can't get more value than that! Besides this. Andrew is an excellent teacher. I've learned in the first 10mins more about the knee slide than in my past 12 years of training. My knee slide got way more heavy. Great technique.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great instruction as always from
The Pendejo Guard by Craig Jones
Great instruction as always from Craig.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A functional range of bottom half guard techniques ***(Long review)***
The Roger Gracie Half Guard System by Roger Gracie
This instructional by Roger Gracie covers a range of techniques from bottom half guard. The techniques taught are not complicated and do not require unusual flexibility or athleticism. This instructional consists of 3 volumes with the first volume focusing on how to improve your position, the second volume includes submissions and additional sweeps and the last volume includes additional positional improvements, including back takes from the inverted half guard and two deep half guard techniques. The instructional is 1 hour and 26 minutes long. Picture quality is good (i.e., in focus and clear) however it is compromised by camera range being distant compared to the Roger Gracie’s Mount instructional where the people filled the screen rather than the background of the school filling the screen. Please have a look at the preview. A single camera has been used. Sound is adequate, but you will need to turn up your volume and to my ears there is some distortion. The sound issue is a distraction and was also noted by another reviewer (Jivan S.), but unnoticeable in the available preview. In this instructional perhaps because it is half guard it would have been helpful if the instructor and the uke had been wearing different colour GIs to distinguish their different limbs or alternatively the camera needed to be closer and perhaps this might have also helped with the sound issue. Setting aside the sound issue, Roger Gracie speaks clearly and as I have noted in my review of his Mount instructional there is no banter. He highlights the important details for each technique and repeats the techniques several times. In my opinion he is a good teacher, easy to watch and learn from. In summary, this is a useful instructional teaching a functional range of half guard bottom techniques. As noted, in my opinion there are some issues with the production of the video. However, the techniques are taught well, are not difficult to learn, don’t require you to be particularly flexible or athletic (other than perhaps one technique for some people) and provide a solid introduction into the half guard bottom position. The next section of the review gives an overview of the content of this instructional by volume if this interests you. Volume 1 (34 minutes and 9 chapters) includes a short discussion on the do’s and don’ts of half guard bottom (e.g., being on your side, not letting the opponent control your head, getting the underhook, etc). Half guard bottom techniques taught in this volume include: a bridging reversal; several pathways to recover the guard; a bridging sweep to use when the opponent’s arm is around your neck and trying to pass your guard and you take control of their free arm to sweep them over you; how to get the opponent to release their head control (i.e., they are controlling your head with their arm around your neck) and for you to immediately gain an underhook; taking the opponent’s back; and series of approaches to counter an opponent’s wizzer. Volume 2 (30 Minutes and 6 chapters) techniques taught in this volume include: using a kimura for either submission or for sweeping while avoiding your opponent’s defensive measures; a really easy to apply kneebar from the bottom; Roger Gracie’s favourite sweep, which is backwards rolling sweep to use when the opponent is trying to flatten you out; a loop choke from the position where your feet are crossed and pressing into the opponent’s hips; a kimura from a knee shield; a sweep when the opponent has moved to the reverse half guard in an effort to pass the half guard. Volume 3 (22 minutes and 6 chapters) techniques taught in this volume include: a series of techniques from the inverted half guard including replacing the guard and a back take with two variants; and two deep half guard sweeping techniques.
Flow your own way
Flow: The Top Game by Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu
I really like Cyborgs approach and teaching. In this instructional cyborg shown you not only some of the most effective passes but also how to connect them. He shows you how to hold mount and side mount and to go back to passing and. He has a very unique mentality.

No Gi Side Control by Pedro Sauer
Great instructional video.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Marcelo is a really good teacher
The Complete Butterfly Guard by Marcelo Garcia
At some point in this instructional Marcelo mentions that when he first started teaching he wasn't the best at it. This series stands as a testament to how great of a teacher he's become. All four volumes are detailed and well structured. You go through a journey watching from volume to volume in order, which is how Marcelo intended this to be watched. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in butterfly guard!
