This instructional draws much from wrestling concepts of controlling your opponent by destroying their ability to generate explosive power, thus forcing them to make errors in order to get out from under your weight. Brilliantly taught by one of the masters in the game.
this really opened my eyes. great instructional
Awesome
great instructional!
In this instructional, Craig challenges the traditional point-scoring criteria with a different hierarchy of control positions. While these many positions aren't traditionally scoring, they are proven to be more dominant in plummeting your opponent's ability to move/attack and concurrently skyrocketing your ability to control, attack, and exhaust your opponent. Having high school wrestling roots, I have instinctually found myself in similar positions while rolling where I was able to have so much control without scoring. I didn't pay too much attention to them until coming across this instructional, which confirmed the significance in my glimpses of discovery, and drove it to its farthest extent. Can't recommend this instructional enough!
game changing

great instruction
Really changed the way I approach pins and "scoring positions" as they relate to submissions. Comprehensive enough to build a pin game around.
It was a great video with a lot of very useful techniques. I want to practice a lot and be able to use them!
great as always from Jones
A theory/conceptual instructional that is presented well. This video will highlight a different thought process to jiu-jitsu especially if you don't have exposure/interest into wrestling. I have enjoyed implementing parts of this video the past several months. This video won't show you exactly how to end up in these positions but should encourage you to approach top in a different manner.
Absolute game changer. Studying this instructional has made a night and day difference in my ability to hold top positions and gas out larger and more explosive opponents. Being a light to welterweight master's division grappler in a room full of young, explosive, heavyweights isn't easy. This has leveled that playing field a bit.
Amazing stuff from legend, always helpful
Really helps me out, especially as a top player.
I was really impressed with this instructional and the novel approach Craig uses. Much of it is really about pinning and wedges but his emphasis on flattening you opponent out and taking the back is very insightful.
Great instructional.
****** awesome
Interesting way to look at top position in grappling. Especially useful against bigger and powerful opponents when top pressure just isn’t going to hold up. I recommend this.
I have over 15 BJJ Fanatic Instructionals and this may be my favorite. A fresh perspective on pinning taught outside normal Bjj confines. Craig is also outrageously funny.
Great Concepts! Easy to undestand
Great use of pinning techniques to control and annoy training partners.
