Timeless system for closed guard
Having tried many different systems of closed guard I still find this one to be the best. Creating angles, moving your hips and controlling posture are paramount from bottom and Shawn Williams is a master at teaching these concepts. This is fundamental jiujitsu that will never go out of style. Great for older practitioners too as this requires less flexibility than other types of guard such as rubber guard.

This video is such a value. Shawn goes through Williams guard and the varying positions surrounding it. Half the techniques he does in the end of the video should be part of the standard game. He gives great details for offense and defense for everything he covers.

This is an interesting position that I wanted to learn more about. The instructional is very lengthly (8 hours), but you will walk away with immense knowlege about the Williams Guard and find ways you can add it to your game. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to add a bit more to their closed guard game.

Instructor went over some basic Williams guard in class. Saw this on sale and immediately hopped in. Been able to integrate Williams guard into a ton of rolls with equal and higher skilled training partners with great success.

I started plating around with Williams Guard after watching a video on it. When this popped up on daily deals I had to get it. Very clear instruction. Nothing like learning from the guy who created it. Awesome.

Shawn Williams shows great instruction in this dvd. The way he shows this guard you don't need much flexibility. He is an excellent teacher and also shares some incredible insights as to why he does things a certain way.
