this video show me an easy way to set up the X-guard in a No-Gi setting. It’s incredibly effective for live sparring
This guard is very good with betterfly. Best combo of open guard and this video explain that very well.
I found the instructional useful but a little disappointed that there wasn't a greater level of exploration of the X guard, particularly leg lock entries. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to develop a more nuanced guard game in No Gi
Great instructional by Jon Satava. Explains concepts well.
Great entries and sweeps works well with Ashi system
Really enjoyed, tons of great techniques, great entries of those wanting to use ashi garami
somehow I watched vol 4 prior to the other three. I really like this game, I am long, and I feel x guard is great once I learned it correctly. by volume 4 there a some great techniques.
Very creative, great techniques, only issue Is that as someone who is big and experienced, I wish there wee 2-3 good entries rather than just going for 10-15 moves that assume your opponent fell out o the sky and into the x guard. Dude is very good from here and is fluid between technique. Ashi Kari is a great follow up, yet I think for the average person entries are imperative. One y
A great over view of this dynamic and exciting guard. Can't wait to use this stuff.

Simply amazing! I have Satava's no gi buttterfly instructional, so I was looking forward to learning from his X/SLX one too. Does not disappoint! Everything eplained very well!!
This is great for both novice and experienced players. Gives a lot of details so your not complete lost.
Great mix of direction and action... Satava shows multiple angles with details and excellent explanations.

good instructional, good concepts, good coach
he really explains x guard well
great
Great details and very useful, practical information that I was able to implement into my game immediately.
Professor Jon Satava created a perfect layout that offers easy access to technical and strategical knowledge. He points out all key details that make it really work and in thid way allows instant use!
Could’ve added some finishes, it’s still quality tho.
I think he really decodes the X-guard and for sure made me understand the angles and how to make it more effective. I think he breaks down the components of x-guard with excellent explanation and really gives good hints on how to. Also different situations that will evolve your xl-guard position/ing. Well worth the buy - you won't regret it.
My first purchase on bjj fanatics months ago. Worth the money. I picked up Jon’s butter fly guard as well. Well laid out and easy to learn from.
