Great lesson on stacking opponent to get out of triangle. Only way I have found that works when you have made a mistake and left one arm in their closed guard.

Excellent defenses! I'm a lightweight always having to fight off attacks from much bigger and stronger workout partners. These defenses work!
Akins is the man
Akins' approach is very first-principle driven, using human anatomy (caratoid artery, bones structures, etc), concepts of physics (center of mass, potential energy, torque, etc.); he has "simplied" the innumerous concepts into some basic ones. Kudos!

This is required for anyone wanting to level up their defensive game. Very practical and clearly demonstrated by Professor Henry. Love it!

Professor Henry Akins created another amaing instructional! He provides concepts, positioning and escapes for all kinds of chokes in context of the stage of attack/defense you are in. His main focus is on positioning your body with propper posture with the right angle and propper weight distribution. if available or necessary because effective and safe he uses some counter attacks within the early and midstage of certain choke set-ups and attempts. He points out all important details no matter if they are small or big with the only focus on getting the protection and escape done in the most high percentage way. Highly recommend!!

Many of these techniques were simple in applying yet super effective. I have not seen many of these techniques before and can't wait to try them out.

we have been doing mainly positional training and some pressure testing with certain rule sets, and these techniques have really helped my survive ability. I like the detail Henry Akins goes into. I like that he gets into early defense as well as late defenses. cant recommend enough

I have felll in love with this teaching style. I escaped a Bellydown RNC. My training partner let go cause they felt a double wristlock on the way I escaped. I love the way Henry teaches and I have to say this is one of the best escape series I have ever watched. If you buy this please buy the Armlock escapes. This has made the myth of there is nothing you can do false.

This is by far the best escape series I have ever seen for chokes. Some of it is so simple yet so effective and I've never seen anyone else teach this stuff.
