As a white belt that learnt how to get out of "pin mode" with Danaher's pin escape series, I'm building my game with the next most frequent position I find myself in. Half-guard, both top and bot. These series have helped me establish frequent positional comfortability among fellow white belts, and a go-to guard after scrambling with blue/purples.
my half guard game is far superior than most at my academy by all the information I learned in this course.
I am from japan and I don't have very good English but john's teaching is so clear with explaining core principles, even I can enjoy the video very much. thank you :male_sign:
amazing instructional with a lot of good techniques. Broken down very well, almost too much but in a good way
Awsome
What an amazing series. I've been doing half-guard for years. It's my favorite. This is taking it to another level. I've been using this to teach as well. What a gift this is.
Can’t go wrong with John’s videos.
All you need to know about half guard. John is amazing at teaching you the techniqs in details.
John Danaher know his stuff when it comes to half guard. This is a must have instructional for all half guard players.
This class is such a great addition to ageless bottom game, I'm so glad I learned from this video course on half-guard first.
No surprises with John Danaher material. A great way to improve your half guard understanding and practice level.
Amazing details, especially the leg entries (as you'd expect!). This has made a massive difference to my half guard.
I really appreciate how John goes over the specific concepts as well as techniques in each of his instructionals. Since following this I feel so much better in half guard and now I actively seek getting to half guard. I feel very comfortable there now and I have tons of attacks and sweeps from there.
This has been great to learn as a white belt as so much of my time is spent escaping to half-guard. The system ties in with his overall bottom-game system and is really good at breaking down core principles. Lots of content, but it ensures thorough understanding.
White belt here, this has helped my game so much. Absolutely love how he breaks it all down. Loads to this that I'll no doubt continue to go back to and learn from as my ability increases. Well worth the money
You can learn how to do highly effective attacks from bottom half
Professor John provides a clear and complete explanation of the position and different elements of it. Truly an essential introductional for practitioners looking for developing a more holistic game. Body weight distribution, frames, setting up a strong base, maximizing the use of levers, among other topics are great inside and very useful. A most for any practitioner! Thank you Professor John :call_me_hand:
Everything you ever wanted to know about half-guard. As a white belt Im constantly in half-guard not knowing what to do next. These instructionals are genius and practical.
I got this when I was a white belt and it really helped me with my fundamental understanding of half guard. As I continue to progress through my Jiu-Jitsu journey this instructional becomes more and more useful and in-depth. We are truly lucky to live in a age where this type of information is accessible and even more lucky to have a practitioner/teacher like John Danaher. He makes the most complex movements easily understandable AND even better he gives you the concepts to become a creative martial artist. 10/10 would recommend this and any of his material
John is the beat teacher. This video really gives a roadmap for half guard. You learn to either stand up, sweep or submit. This trilema will make your game much better and effective.
The details in this instructional are what made all the fundamental half guard sweeps and movements finally work. Tons of useful content. If you buy this as a white belt you will come back to it throughout your entire jiujitsu journey.
I love the way John Danaher make every position comprehensible for all skill level.
