The course is broken into 4 Volumes, My favorite is countering to a Pass ( Volume 2 ) I watched Instructor Ethan give a private Lesson in the Insiders club, and his easy to understand and step by step Instruction convinced me to purchase this course

Gordon goes over almost everything you'd want to know about bodylock passing. He talks about common reactions and more importantly tells you what not to do. There is more here than I expected and Gordon does a deep dive on the position. I thought I knew the bodylock, but 75% of the info was new to me and I haven't seen it anywhere else. If you have a question about the bodylock it will be answered by Gordon in this instructional.

This is the first half guard instructional that has actually strung together how various half guard positions flow together rather than just teaching individual moves. Real rolls are so fluid and Magid teaches with that understanding, giving you tools rather than moves. My new favorite half guard instructional, going to watch this one on repeat.

The Buchecha Takedown System In The Gi by Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida
I got this instructional primarily because I was struggling getting to double and singe legs in the gi. Was not disappointed. Buchecha teaches different grip fighting strategies used to get to his signature double leg takedown, as well as what to do when his first attempt fails. In addition, he gives a very detailed breakdown of his grip breaking method. Worth the price.

Diamond Concept: The Diamond Guard Frame, Shield, Elegant, Pedal by Xande Ribeiro
This instructional wasn't quite what I was expecting. I saw the BJJ Fanatics sample with Bernardo on YT and I had been working on my guard retention and wanted to check it out because I love concept based instructionals. This instructional is guard retention and he does have concepts to his retention (diamond, elegant, shield, peddle). But about 90% of the instructional is retention from bottom Half Guard. My biggest problem with retention is getting people into my half guard to begin with :rofl:. If you are looking for bottom Half Guard retention than I highly recommend this instructional. If like me you need more general retention help (people trying to go around, using angles, etc.) I'd look elsewhere. As John Danaher has explained Half Guard passing is its own type of passing system very different than passing that tries to avoid guards.

Managed to used this concept instantly. But going over it more than once will truly give you the independence clarity to is this grips full potential. Already had training partners confused on how is the grip so strong when in reality its where you grip it that makes a difference. Overall a great grip option for passing added to your arsenal.

Gift Wrap Top Control and Attacks by Justin Rios
