Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Great overview of the position
Mastering The Lasso Guard by Marcos Tinoco
Simple and concise sweeps, building upon each other into submissions. Lasso really wasn't a part of my game until this instructional and Marcos does a great job of emphasizing key points of control that lead to sweeps and subs.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Not just for heavy weights (long review)
Heavy Bottom Game by Fabiano Scherner
This Gi instructional teaches sweeps and submissions from the bottom, specifically 3 from closed guard; 14 from half guard knee shield; and 2 techniques on how to effectively escape half guard with your back flat on the mats. This is a technique focused instructional with a total run time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. At the time of writing this review the marketing material implies this instructional is for the larger player (i.e., “Find a guard game that lets you use your size and strength from the bottom”), however I am small and these techniques work for me because they are simply good BJJ techniques. I have been able to sweep much larger opponents because Fabiano Scherner teaches how to firstly select an appropriate technique, initially unbalance the opponent, effectively use your body weight and maximise leverage. Obviously as a smaller person, if the opponent is really heavy / massive I might not attempt to sweep them, but the submissions taught will work on opponents of all sizes. The techniques taught are not overly complex and this helps to memorise the technique and reduce the opportunity for the opponent to block your submission or sweep. Fabiano Scherner gives clear directions and the demonstrations are easy to follow. He stays on topic. As is the norm, demonstrations are repeated from different angles. There are no notable issues with sound or video quality (e.g., range, focus, or lighting). This instructional appears to have been filmed at the BJJ Fanatics studio. The preview chapter (Vol 1, Chapter 6 – lasso sweep from pass) and the trailer are consistent (i.e., sound and vision) with the balance of the instructional. In summary, there are some great techniques taught in this instructional. Using these techniques, you should be able to improve your sweeps and submissions, particularly from the half guard.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Great program from a world champion!
The Perfect Lifting Workout by Nick Rodriguez
Nick Rod continue to improve and to become more impressive. Even if this instructionals is from late 2020, he was already an ADCC champion & blue belt IBJJF no gi world champion before this time, so we can be sure that it's elite level stuff. I also bought the Gordon Ryan "Getting swole as a grappler" course, that was really great, full of informations and insights, but in one way I have a slight preference for Nicky program, as it's straight to the point, an organized list of exercises with a clear logic. Some insights on the life to live around the training is good to take as well. A PDF is joined, that helps to read fast and catch informations when we review the notes, instead of having to browse again the videos! One drawback, though : the content of the PDF is a bit different than the videos sometimes (name and number of exercises). So I just took the list given in the video from Nicky, to be sure. Thank you so much for sharing your program, it's really great for enthusiastic amateurs who want to get the most of their Jiu Jitsu life!!!
Helped me develop my half
Exploring The Empty Half Guard by Daniel Paul Pollaccia
Helped me develop my half guard fame
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Highly Useful, Recommend
Effective Greco Roman Wrestling by Pat Smith
I wholeheartedly endorse this instructional. As a bigger, taller grappler, shooting for takedowns isn't something that I find particularly easy, so I've concentrated on upper-body throws. This instructional has helped me improve my handfighting to the point that I can tie up and force other grapplers to engage with me, and got me to a point wher eI cna now force the underhook and toss opponents - physically practical and psychologically devastating. The instruction level is fantastic - clear, concise, but never too light on details. Pat Smith walks through not only how to perform the technique, but why specific points are key to correct execution and what will happen if you don't. I've yet to find any other resource that has helped my game this much.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Super underrated move
I love how sneaky this technique is!

The No Gi Deep Half Guard 2.0 by Jeff Glover
Really helpful instructional. Jeff has a very engaging teaching style and keeps things clear and concise. He also keeps his deep half system simple and reinforces important principles by constantly highlighting them and referring back to previous entries/positions. Most importantly Jeff Glover is an enthusiastic teacher and holds your attention. Even after one viewing I have been able to implement parts of his system. This is one instructional I will keep going back and referring to.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:The Art of Defense by Teddy Atlas
The Art of Defense by Teddy Atlas
I have most of the Teddy Atlas collection. In my opinion, he's the best boxing teacher out there! I've always been a boxing/fight fan and thought I knew alot about the boxing. After watching Teddy, I quickly realized that I have alot to learn. I now watch boxing and striking with a totally different perspective after getting an education from Teddy's instructionals. Whether you're a young boxer, an MMA fighter, a fan, or a teacher of any form of striking art, you NEED to learn the material covered in this video and all of the other series Teddy has put out! Talking to Teddy someday in person and seeing him teach is now a bucket list item!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Great instruction on both a technique and skill development
The Evolved Ezekiel by Kennet Ekelund Waale
An amazing instructional on one of my favorite chokes since white belt. In the video Kennet shows you everything you need to know about the Ezekiel, from theory to setups and applications from different positions. It also contains great information about mount maintainance, and a very cool section about skill development. This will help my game for sure, and can’t wait to put it all into practice!
