No Gi Pressure Passing by Bernardo Faria
Had to round out my Bernardo collection by picking this one up. No regrets. I also have the Pressure Passing Encyclopedia and Battle Tested Pressure Passing amongst others of his series. Honestly, while you could get away with one for sure, each brings something new to the table and it has completely transformed my passing game, which is definitely my best skillset now. I picked up the No Gi videos because of an injury that prevented me from taking grips, and I knew the No Gi would better cater to that. I find Bernardo's teaching style to work very well for me, as well as his mindset to teaching jiu jitsu (or my perception of it). I will try and describe it so you can decide if you'd like it. On all three of his pressure passing sets and his half guard set, you don't learn very many moves for the majority of the content. You learn maybe 1-3 fundamental moves in GREAT detail, and every foreseeable issue that can occur when you perform them. I find that devotion to mastery of a specific technique to be a better way to learn BJJ from a video. If you train at a school, you have an instructor(s) that teach you a variety of techniques, but they don't have time to spend an hour or more on a single technique, repeating it from all sorts of angles just for you. These videos do that. You can test it out, watch the video again, test it out, repeat. If you're learning BJJ solely from videos, then the style of 'here are a bunch of techniques' might be better. But if you're already training and looking for mastery of one, maybe two techniques, this is better. If the techniques that Bernardo is showing here resonate with you, this video set and his other pressure passing sets will pay dividends in your training. They have for me.

Guillotines and related headlock based chokes are the weapon x in bjj and mma. You have guys like Charles Oliviera and other top guys who've been caught in them, despite being superior in bjj. Danaher covers every situation, choke, and detail for roughly 8 hours in this instructional. bjjfanatics discounts and rewards allowed me to get this far cheaper than I expected! for an instructional that's roughly 4x longer with 10x better material gou can't beat it.

After watching just a few techniques and taking note of each point Troy mentions as he demonstrates, I was able to successfully put them to use on the mat. Troy goes into only the detail necessary to perform each technique so it doesn’t overwhelm someone with minimal experience like myself. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get to a better position by utilising sweeps and they are fun to perform too.

I have attented a lot of seminars with a lot of top black belts and hes the best , just because the way he focus and explain all the details, its amazing. I've already managed to hit some of the techniques in sparring and used Jaime's techniques to teach my students and they also have been hitting these sweeps and submissions immediately in sparring sessions!

I've been hearing for years about Coach Neil's "offense in turtle" tactics, and I was super excited to find out that BJJ Fanatics filmed an instructional for it. It is so helpful, especially if you're like me and can get frozen and too defensive in turtle and can't scramble as quickly as your opponent. Stuff like the bail out to a Russian tie are a revelation! Highly recommended!

John Danaher doesn't give you 2 or 3 hours for 100 bucks, his are usually around 10 hours each. Add the discounts from bjj fanatics and you're paying 10 or 15 dollars for each hour. any question you're usually left with is answered in one of usually around 10 to 12 chapters are in EACH of 8 or so videos all included in each instructional.

There I was. Down 0-2 in a finals match at JJWL. Fatigue setting in. My will slowly getting broken down. Forearms sore as **** from stress gripping. All while fighting out of a worm guard on bottom after getting swept. My opponent death grips the lapel for the last two minutes as I struggle with no idea on how to escape. Frustrated, I look for any guidance in the crowd and my teammates look just as confused as me. The timer runs out, ref grabs my opponents hand and raises it. Despair slowly creeps up and hatred for lapels sets in.... until Irakli shows up at my gym. Long story short, my knowledge of lapel techniques has increased dramatically within the last 3 months of training and learning from him. My confidence with lapels has been restored. No opponent will ever tie me up again! Thank you Irakli! I couldn’t be more grateful.
