I really appreciate how Michael explains the purpose and reasoning behind each move, with clear detail. Beyond techniques, he helps the viewer understand the intention behind them. I especially enjoyed the volumes that focused on fundamental reminders, such as staying relaxed, breathing properly, and learning to move effectively rather than aggressively. The obi, or BJJ belt, workout was also a nice touch. Overall, this is a great instructional series for anyone being introduced to BJJ, as well as for experienced bjj practitioners who want to revisit and sharpen the fundamentals.

I love this series. Starting out as an older practitioner I struggled to pass my Opponent’s guard and secure a position. This is a very in depth course and not something you’re going to get through quickly. But I started seeing immediate results. Danaher lays out such detail on systematically passing that it is not only effective but allows me to conserve energy in the process.
