Connected Reaction: No Gi Passing by Paul Schreiner
Right off the bat understand that as an instructor, Paul is very accomplished. All his instructional videos are lauded as the gold standard in whatever he is teaching. I would say Paul is on par with Danaher, in some cases better in how he reaches points and conclusions very simply and effectively. That’s really it with Paul, he portrays complex ideas very easily. He doesn’t have to say much, because he shows you and it all adds up. So as a teacher, you’re getting a premium experience. So why this? His name alone was enough to draw me, but I was hooked in the system he presents. Inch by inch you learn to navigate guard passing. You learn about posts, over/underhooks, leg placement, shoulder pressure, knee cuts, weight distribution, counters to specific scenarios, and more. Good videos have you come away with a move or two that you will use. The best, must have videos are the ones where you come away growing as a practitioner. So far, only Danaher and Paul have given me this. If you’re looking for an extremely in depth system/guide to learning half guard passing, this is the video for you. It’s worth the money, and I will probably remember Paul for the rest of my life.

The Front Headlock System by John Danaher
I learned more than I expected. As an entry level no belt beginner, I just wanted to learn how to do front headlock. After watching the instructions, I learned the stand up game too. I learned more from Danaher than a lot of wrestling instruction dvds I bought in the past. Maybe my learning style fits his teaching style or maybe he has blackbelt in teaching.

I’m a smaller guy and had trouble using arm bar against much larger opponents. The Arm Pit grip and Bolt Cutter have totally changed that. I use the bolt cutter every time I roll now. Cuts threw any grip GI or No GI. That alone is with the price of this DVD.

Just picked this up. A lot of collar sleeve details I haven't seen elsewhere. Focuses a lot on the Omoplata as the main attack, as well as some nice DLR collar sleeve. It isn't an encyclopedia of a ton of moves, but it really is designed to be a system.

I have had Roger TV for 4 years and love it but it can get overwhelming with 100s of videos. I liked this condensed version of a side control system. I was able to watch several times and implement immediately. Nice to see Gomes in there as well because he’s a legend.
