Half Guard Passing and Dynamic Pins: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
This DVD is split into two parts. You get 7 and a half hours for Half Guard Passing, and 6 hours for Dynamic Pinning. Half Guard Passing has pretty much everything a beginner needs to know to effectively start passing top half. For more advanced students, there’s still plenty of details to observe. The whole instructional is very good, but his half butterfly section is amazing. The only thing missing are methods of breaking through frames and getting into upper body grips. Dynamic Pinning focuses on maintaining, transitioning, and otherwise effectively pinning your opponent. This instructional does NOT focus on generating submission offense from top pins. It instead focuses on effective point scoring and controlling your opponent through pinning. I would pair this DVD with John’s Half Guard dvd, his Guard Passing dvd, and Gordon Ryan’s Guard Passing dvd. For match footage to pair with this DVD, I would recommend watching Roger Gracie, Gordon Ryan, Rodolfo Vierra, and Damien Maia. Especially Roger, whom John mentions a few times throughout.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Excellent Value.
Back Attacks Enter The System by John Danaher
I would give this video my highest recommendations to any of my training partners. After just watching the first ~2hrs of the instructional with no drilling whatsoever my back attack submission rate and control increased 10 fold.

Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I started studying this right before my gym closed due to COVID-19. I noticed immediate progress. Since then, I paired this with his solo drills program to keep the mind sharp to dominate once back on the mats. Until then...doing solo drills on my rug.

No Gi Takedowns Made Easy by Rick Hawn
In one set Rick Hawn gives a very nice set list of techniques that allows to understand , even for a non judo practitioner, how to apply the art for MMA or grappling in a clear way. There might be some techniques than judo guys like me would like to see adapted for MMA but honestly the DVD covers the best techniques for this as other I imagine depend more of judogi use and at the end few people in the world are as qualified as this man to do this. I mean this guy put a seoi nage bomb in the cage !

Luta Livre Concepts: Basic Submissions by Nicolas Renier
I'm a brown belt in both BJJ and Luta Livre this DVD is awesome especially if you're looking to become a headhunter. Alot of secret details to get the chokes which you will not find anywhere else! I've studied alot of guillotines, darce and anacondas but this DVD is something special and probably has more detail than some of the bigger names. Thanks for the great DVD Nicolas!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Gotta Love Saenchai
Combinations and Clinch Work by Saenchai
Saenchai is one of the best to ever put on gloves, and you get to learn from his experience. He is a remarkable trickster and a playful coach, which comes across in how he presents his techniques. But put aside all of the good-natured and joyous play aside, what he teaches here are very serious, clever, and destructive techniques and set-ups. Particularly for southpaws, this is an essential resource.

10th Planet Fundamentals by JM Holland & Zach Maslany
Hey guys great good. The drills on here are amazing. You guys at 10P are truly revolutionary and humble enough to admit some parts or moves have come from other schools or instructors. But most of all the way everything is chained together is very smooth and makes for great repetition.

Systematically Attacking The Back by Gordon Ryan
If you train BJJ and don't buy Gordon Ryan's back attack video you are doing yourself a disservice. He only submitted his opponents with these techniques in ADCC!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Another excellent DVD from Priit
The Running Man & The Baby Bridge: Essential Postures To Keep You Safe by Priit Mihkelson
I am following Priit's ideas since BJJ Globetrotters Zen Camp in 2019. His stuff is simple and easily applicable even against high level opponents, but you need to abandon some preconceptions that you learned before (e.g. don't expose your back). This instructional is no different, if you already learned Turtle and Panda - this one is like the final piece of the puzzle. All those postures work together extremely well as a system, and they all can be pressure tested since day 1 with great success. I would even say that if you want to dive in into Priit's system - this DVD should be your starting point, since it covers the most defensive postures in it, and on top of that you can add both sitting Turtle and the Turtle itself. This DVD will make your training partners confused, because you would learn all the shades of side control and turtle, and use it as coherent system, while other people are used to generic simplified distinction between being pinned in "side control" and exposing the back in "turtle". This positional awareness will enable you to play with transitions to create openings to escape and/or attack in sort of funky way, that is surprisingly effective. Can't wait for more stuff from him!
