Systematically Attacking the Scrimmage: Securing The Score by Gordon Ryan
This is definitely a great addition to the collection from Gordon Ryan because the takedown doesn't really matter in BJJ competition its the position or submission you obtain 4 seconds later that matters thanks so much for the details Gordon look forward to training at Kingsway soon.
Amazing
Clean Sweeps For No-Gi by Jeff Glover
Always bits of info that change the game.
One of the absolute best you’ll find!
Guillotine Blueprint by Matt Arroyo
Years & years ago before YouTube even existed, Matt Arroyo had an email list where you could download his modules for a fee but he often gave out free techniques/half modules and I was lucky enough to get his instructional on guillotines and it changed the game for me. His set ups and finishes are very good, but his details on how to position the choking arm and especially the wrist angle (“what time is it” was the teaching cue) is the best I’ve found, even almost 20 yrs later. That structure has made it my highest percentage submission ever since and I still use his structure to teach it to my own students now. Highly recommended!

Under the Legs Passing Anthology by Lachlan Giles
I always love Lachlan's instruction. His teaching is easy to follow and detailed. Even people like me who lack athleticism or fighting instinct can easily understand it. This DVD is also meticulous. It slowly guides you through passing the opponent's guard. I highly recommend it for older BJJ players like me.

Escapes and Attacks From Bottom Side Control by Eli Knight
I spend most of my BJJ training time practicing escapes. I believe that escaping is the essence of BJJ. If you can escape and avoid disadvantageous positions, an opportunity will eventually come to you. It is the simplest way to win. I recommend this DVD

Comprehensive Breakdown of Lasso Guard
The Complete Lasso Guard System by Marcos Tinoco
This instructional lives up to its "complete system" title by covering lasso guard from the ground up. It's well-structured, taking you from basic grips and controls all the way through to advanced attacks and transitions. What makes this work well is the systematic approach - you're not just learning random techniques, but understanding how lasso guard functions as a complete position. The connections between sweeps, submissions, and guard retention are clearly explained, which helps everything click together when you're actually rolling. The level of detail is thorough without being overwhelming. You get the core concepts, common reactions from opponents, and multiple pathways to finish or advance position. It's the kind of instructional you can return to as you progress and pick up new details each time.
Super helpful
High Percentage Chokes: No Gi by Lachlan Giles

Solid Fundamentals for Lasso Players
Lasso Guard Transitions: Submissions, Sweeps and More Combinations by Marcos Tinoco
This instructional does exactly what it promises - it covers the essential transitions from lasso guard in a clear, organized way. The teaching breaks down submissions, sweeps, and combinations without getting too complicated, making it accessible for intermediate practitioners looking to sharpen their lasso game. The flow between techniques is logical, showing how one position naturally leads to another. You get practical options for when your opponent reacts in different ways, which is exactly what you need to make lasso guard work in live rolling. If you're someone who uses lasso guard or wants to add it to your game, this is a worthwhile resource. It won't revolutionize your jiu jitsu, but it will give you a more complete understanding of the position and several reliable techniques to work with.
