The Snap Guard by Neil Melanson
I absolutely love how practical a lot of Niel's moves are. A lot of the time although I enjoy intricate moves that and advanced systems like the millions of guards, the Snap Guard remains potent because it offers you a lot of opportunity to strike and combo with others techniques, it is a great starting point for individuals who already have solid defense and want to make their offense stem from counters which is much more realistic in an mma setting where both individuals know what they are doing.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great Fundamental Details
The Roger Gracie Mount System by Roger Gracie
As a featherweight, maintaining mount on the big guys can be a struggle, as well as trying adjust to the defensive postures of colored belts. I thought this instructional was great for a blue belt level trying to make the right adjustments to maintain positive control and work towards a submission from mount. There isn't a lot of content, but the material that is covered is succinct and easy to follow/replicate. I was using this in conjunction with Lucas Lepri's Science of Guard Passing so I could chain everything together and because I bought them both on daily deals. Roger details what fundamental defenses your opponent will use to escape, sweep or defend submissions and how to adjust accordingly. Some of the highlights that helped me include: Securing low mount Reaching and Maintaining High Mount Preventing opponent sweeping and replacing guard Breaking the defending Grip (armbars) Also I think the chokes (Ezekiel and cross-collar) are important to learn and implement if not just to make the threat so the arm bar comes easier.
One of the Best Instructionals Ever Made

Kimura: Enter The System by John Danaher
the "enter the system" series is a critical learning tool for any level BJJ practicioner. each video entry adds a layered systematic approach to the most high percentage submissions in BJJ. In each segment John typically gives a general overview to each submission system, breaks down mechanics of each hold in detail, then guides the viewer through entries into each submission from every possible situation from standing to ground. all systems flow into each other. for the past 5 years I have been returning to each video set and absorbing new details.
